Can you apply this over a painted cement pool to use it to replaster the surface of the whole pool, not just a small patch, if I buy the 50 gallon size?

I'm assuming the pool is an existing shotcrete or gunite pool based on the description of "cement pool", so if that is the case you would need to remove the existing paint material completely in order for it to bond.

May i ask how wet the area should be to apply the product?? and after it drys out, can i add paint on it thanks~

After you have chipped the old plaster away down to the gunite or shotcrete substrate you can clean and wet the area to be patched with a sponge and have light moisture but the area should not be holding water like a puddle, just be moist. The pool plaster patch material will be mixed and obviously contain water so it's fine to apply the wet patch material against light moisture.

How long does this product take to cure?

Pool Plaster Repair Kit cure time is about 4 hours on average. We recommend allowing the material to cure at least 12 hours if painting.

In the future maybe you guys could include the weight of the bonder in total. Not everyone has a small scale. Using the product now

What good is this if you don't answer any questions? How deep of a hole can this fill?

Now to answer your question, this Pool Plaster Repair Kit is a surface patch kit designed to patch pool plaster at the standard depth of existing plaster, it's not designed to patch large holes down the virgin soil of a pool. Our recommended minimum depth is a 1/4" and a maximum of 1" for best results.

Applied the product as instructed and as it dried it formed several hairline cracks. Cement usually does not shrink. So far, not a great experience.

I used this on delaminated areas of plaster in my concrete pool, followed the instructions, watched videos, prepared the hole etc. filled them in and they all cracked around the edge of the hole and smaller cracks running through the center of the hole and STILL have no idea why. Any ideas?

Did you make sure there was some moisture on the repair area before applying the plaster and to use a moisture trowel to smooth it out? It's possible it dried out too quickly in the sun and not enough moisture to let it cure properly. That's my guess.

I read the comment and see you stated you used this on "delaminated areas" and prepared the hole. Based on the description of cracks around the sides and down the middle I'm going to assume this was a deep hole and not a patch to shotcrete base application. If you used the material to patch a large hole the material will sink and could crack. Our pool plaster repair kit is designed to patch existing pool plaster at the same or close to same standards of existing pool plaster depth, generally if you are patching a large hole you would need to patch the hole and then use the pool plaster repair kit to create a surface patch.
