There is a pully system they use in gymnastics as an alternative to a 'pit'. It uses a belt type harness and lines. But, they would need to be able to travel with a skateboard rider in order to avoid impact with the ramp. Probably just back and forth and not to a side or the other. Ak-49 (907)
