Thanks man, I bought my Acer Swift 5 a few days ago and tried to tell myself "don't worry, you will get used to the fan noises" but I knew that this will always annoy me. But since i was really happy with the hardware of the laptop for the price i got it I didn't want to return it. I was scared to use it in university next month because i thought it will annoy others as much as it annoys me. Now I can't hear a single noise from the fans, and it's still working as fast as it did before, the temperatures also don't climb but either drop or stay the same. Thanks a lot for the video, now I can use my laptop in peace.

Do you experience that the fan is quiet when doing normal stuff, but when you then play a game for example that the fan really starts working hard and after you shut the game of even if it was just for a few minutes that the fan still keeps going? Not as high as when you played the game but it's still annoyingly high and I end up turning it off and on again just to get the fan to stop. Also what % do you use so that it doesn't end up damaging the laptop?

This worked so well. Thank you so much. Edit: To the people, who has an Acer Aspire 5, watching this video, I set my CPU max to 60% with very minimal fan noise
@IwatchYuTup3 жыл бұрын
why would you use 60% cpu. you could buy a cheaper laptop with a celeron or pentium. you pay for a freaking cpu. other components are cheap. we should just start a big campaign against acer. Acer is such a sloppy company that they want to show off that they have lightest and slimmest laptops in the market. they advertise like that but all those bastard youtubers, reviewers they never tell you the actual problem. They only talk about how slim and light is the fucking laptop. You watch it and go buy it. it is also cheaper than others.

Thank you sooooo much! I can't tell you what an anxiety-reducer this has been. My very stripped-down Acer tablet fan started making LOUD noises like this a couple of months ago and it's been MADDENING. The fan comes on full blast from a cold start-up after being off for days, so I know it isn't overheating. I use this tablet basically for writing and watching KZbin Tutorials. It barely has any software on it at all. There's no overtaxing from gaming or anything. I will never buy another Acer as long as I live. [Hope you're reading this Acer!!]
