In my case, I have a black TSA007, opened position. I forgot right combination. Tried from 999>000 ., combination 757 can be pressed 90 deg. but too loose and cant be locked. I thought lock is broken . Keep tried , combination 535 works normal. Then figure out 757 and 535 2 row consecutive. Your instructions clear. Thank you.

Very useful. I have an issue I hope you could help me. How can I post an image here to show my lock condition? Currently my lock is pressed in, but not at its U slot. and the shackle could be turned 90 degrees clockwise. With the last known combination, I cant unlock it. Yoke Lee that may just be a situation where the lock internals are broken or worn, might be best to just spend the $7 for a new lock, because you don't want it completely breaking at the worst most inconvenient times

Poolarity - Life Hacks it was broken during the trip. Checked the bag in with perfectly fine lock. Found the lock broken when I reached hotel. Couldn't be worse. But luckily nothing missing.

The lock I have belonged to a family member who just passed away and stored it locked without the combination written down? The hasp doesn't push down, tried 000, as well as a number familiar to them and myself, still won't open. The brand name says 'CAPSTONE', and 'TSA002' on the bottom, I'm assuming that is to let TSA agents which access key will open that specific lock type/model?
