The trails were undergoing changes and maintenance in the wettest winter/ spring I can remember, lots of effort went into drainage, which is a big problem on the hill. Then we got stopped by the Covid 19 crisis, when the trails were muddy as......then we’ve had it very dry hot and dry which has turned it to concrete with ruts, but we’ve managed to reopen the old black trail, which we’ve had to change to a Red trail as per the Council parks dept instructions, this is running well, and is the best trail on there now, plus........there is a secret trail, unmarked.....short and sweet little ride. Agree so much with your comment, everyone’s got an opinion but not a shovel.........anyone wanting to help develop the trails please join the Facebook page of Pooley Park Mountain Bike Club, we need as much input as possible to make the trails as good as possible.

Nice vid dude, going there this weekend haven been since all the work has been done on the trails, good practice like the fast and flowy reds you have to put alot of effort in but they are short trails so not too bad. Theres also bomb hole near the bottom of the trails with a table and a hip and a few small jumps to play around on.

Edwin Starr the singer ( War! What is it good for!) used to live at pooley hall ... old colliery spoil , rock hard when dry and slick as hell when wet !

Great video as always great angles of the park and riding, I live literally 30 mins away and didn't know it was there, will be visiting soon though

Used to run around here and occasionally bike when I lived local. Move away and look what happens! Maybe a visit some time next year is in order to see how it's all changed. I know you mentioned about making the trail as long as possible, from memory it looks like they have made use of existing paths that had been worn through over the years. I could be wrong, mind.

Backyard MTB Trail Edits I’ll have to find out the tune mate, I specifically buy licences of musicians so it’s not just the same crap as everyone else.
