This is the best tutorial I have seen on technique. Not only with content, which is extremely useful, but also with thorough explanation. Thank you sir!

The quality, content and clarity of your explanations in your videos is fantastic. I appreciate how long decent KZbin content takes to make, so thank you. Keep it up!

I’m afraid I play British pool and as you’ll see in the videos, UK pool tables don’t have diamonds on them.

Such a good demonstration and explanation. After watching this clip I was able to re-introduce effective top spin into my game. Something which I had been struggling with very badly after a long time away from cue sports, and struggling badly to adapt to the light white in pool. But by gripping further back on the cue as suggested, and using a long back swing, the follow through now happens automatically and takes care of itself. Getting really effortless topspin now, and that shot has gone from a huge weakness to a strong capability in the space of a few practice shots. What an amazingly quick transformation that was!!

That’s brilliant to hear. With a good follow through, screw back and top spin really should feel effortless like you say. It’s a great feeling when you can do it too. Glad the video helped.

This is something I've never really put much thought into doing correctly. I suspect I probably follow through further the more power I'm hitting it with. I'll definitely be mindful of it next time I play. Very helpful video, thanks

Excellent videos; especially this one - I`ve found the ideal warmup to eliminate my consistent ``stabbing`` at the start of pool matches ! / minutes of just concentrating on follow through and timing ;)

Great video as always. I find staying down on the shot just as important as follow through. Helps balance and consistency and even if you play a bad shot you still look like you know what you're doing 🤣

After you hit the ball it doesn't matter what you do it has no impact on the shot
@PoolSchool10 ай бұрын
But what you do after you hit the ball has a huge impact on HOW you hit the ball. Try swinging a golf club or kicking a football without a good follow through and see how far it gets you.

Follow through definitely helps so much, I can apply effects more consistent with it... I think it is because the ball doesn't go instantly to top speed when first contact with cue, but there's a bit of time to accelerate from 0 to 100 and you want to make sure the ball contacts the cue as long as possible for more predictable behavior
@martynroberts19745 ай бұрын
@kentnathaniel6961 rubbish after contact your cue slows down and by the time it speeds up again the ball has gone plenty videos on KZbin that shows you this
