Just did the black tank valve not to long ago. It’s something all full timers face at one time or another. Not really looking forward to that chore again!

Did you double check the glue that you used? That is ABS pipe and it needs the black ABS glue not PVC or CPVC. I hope it holds.

Hey, Dave.....😀great job and it works, been there done that about 24 years ago👍 But......🤞as I reluctantly must sayn please stay in warmer climate from now on cause your 4 season coach will now freeze at gate valve.....please put heat tape & wrap for future cold weather.🙂....I'm sure you realized it after all said and done. I like your solution but did you consider the twist on version of the gate valve so there is no cutting or glueing to install?

Mine are old and leaking too, but I can't fix mine this way. I need to reach back in deep and disconnect 8 bolts and remove/replace the valtera gate valves. Looking forward to that job!! NOT. LOL
