Ahhh the Silver Dragon 🐲 one of my favorite fish to catch .When Steph asked Clay his favorite childhood memories down in the keys and it hit so close to me , my aunt Osana was a teacher and my uncle had a commercial lobster boat and they lived in big coppit key on the gulf side and every year school let out my 2 sisters and I would come down and spend all summer with my aunt n uncle and my grandparents also and of course my parents would join in for a week or 2 .. My uncle set his lobster traps all over the Marquesas and he taught me everything about fishing grouper n snapper and the whole lower keys was my back yard growing up i so miss it to this day i still get down there but nowhere like id like to.

That is katalux key in Tavernier. It’s right out of Tavernier Creek. It’s a very very shallow path to get to there. We recommend going on high tide and paying attention to tide while your there. You can get stuck there very easily.

That’s a great question, There are specific spots that we always go to. Normally different parts of the year have certain bait at certain locations. So this time of year we go to a specific spot to find the certain bait we’re looking for.
