I’ve even sacrificed my wants & needs just so my cats are alive & healthy; like a mother would do for their own child !! There are times where I felt like a failure to my cats cause they ended up with seasonal colds & seasonal flus ! I had to realize that the cat’s immune system is just like a human’s, just smaller ! They get sick just like we do ! All mom parent’s go through this ! It’s just heartbreaking to see yer very loved furbaby go through trauma or get sick !!

I wish I had someone as fantastic as Dr. Chris to treat my sweet cat. She too was diagnosed with cancer, hers is breast cancer, (squamous cell carcinoma) I have had it removed twice since the beginning of the year, but it has returned again. All of my pets are special, but Cricket is EXTRA special as she taught herself early on how to predict my seizures. We have been together for nearly 15 years, and the thought of losing her literally destroys me.. if there is anything I can do or try to help her I am desperate to know. Our bond is unbreakable and even though I can’t afford it, I will go without myself before I give up. Bless you all Mel & Cricket

Good luck that it won't return next time! How much did the vets remove the other times around? Only the actual tumor? Or did they remove the whole breast complex on the side it was growing in? I know, that some vets will rather choose to remove the whole array of breasts on one side if there is a small tumor discovered in one breast because those tend to have already spread without it being obvious. If that wasn't done before maybe ask them to do it before the cancer actually spreads to the rest of her body.

Arcenciel LeClair - there's a joke revealing how smart vets have to be since 1) There are few Vet schools so admissions are strict, 2) Students have to be super- smart and well-rounded, 3) They are dealing with animals who can't describe their symptoms. So: "What do students become if they flunk out of Vet school? Doctors.

Velocity Raptor yes people may still do that but that is very inhumane & if you and your vet agree your pet has no good chance in life & the right thing to do is put them down , the animal should be put down professionally by vets. And you should never ever get a pet or keep a pet (take it somewhere where a good owner is insured) if you become financially unstable or you are financially unstable.

And they live longer than dogs, so idk why they seem to be less valued. I know how hard it is to have a cat with cancer. My cat got lymphoma last year. I found a lump under his chin. Fortunately I found it in time, took him to the vet for a biopsy and then 2 hours away 6 times for chemo. He's in remission and been doing well since. I've been giving him prednisolone pills every other day in pill pockets. He looks forward to his treats!
