So, fun fact: They actually showed us Bat Queen's interlock back in her first appearance, though the design is a bit different from how it appears in this episode. Also, I can't believe how they showed the kid of giant that carved Bat Queen during the scene outside the school and nobody picked up on it until they were reunited in the season finale.

I love how in the new cupcake episode during convention the cupcakes family witnessed Amity abolishing Mr. Cupcake and in the new episode the cupcake family tries to take revenge on Amity like they tried to shave her hair off, tried to squish her under a rock, BAKE HER. They fail all of them but it helps Amity realize her actions have consequences and feeds into her character arc. The cupcake family forgives her and help her through her journey to a better person, one of the cupcake kids is actually a therapist and helps her with her feelings. It was one of my favorite episodes

eda gave herself the curse. she also cursed herself to forget. she knew that if she didn't curse herself she would be the strongest witch and with that comes more enemies so she had to throttle herself. for safety.

Later in the show it’s revealed that Eda accidentally cursed herself when one of her spells backfired. It’s not really clear if the curse messed with her memory of the event or if she just repressed it, but either way it’s really emotional when she finally realizes the truth.

I love how what gets Eda to snap out of her curse this episode is King. Like... he's her little baby boy and she loves him it's SO SWEET! I love the found family in this show it's so good! Also King is a TERRIBLE liar and I'm fairly certain that the only reason it worked is because he was talking to Luz. Here's something I only caught in this episode on a re-watch: a few episodes ago, the Bat Queen was called "the richest demon" of the Isles. Now, though, it turns out she's actually a palisman, and was mis-identified as a demon. That's an interesting idea to work with! Obviously, Eda was cursed by The Usurper. After fighting for King over the "throne", he would plot his revenge. Years later, he discovered/will discover time travel, and traveled/will travel back in time to ruin Eda's life, all just to get back at King for that one awful day at the playground!

@@WeeLassReacts Fun Fact! Cognitively, owls are actually pretty dumb. Their brains are quite small, so all their brainpower goes towards their bodily functions and instincts. That's why they get freaked out so easily by the strangest little things. I believe (and don't quote me on this) many cultures got the "owls are wise" thing from the fact that their eyes are so big compared to their faces. Speaking of eyes, bonus fun fact! Ows can't move their eyes. That's why they can swivel their necks around so far.

Willow's mom, Tibbles and the Emperor have all been candidates for who Cursed Eda with in our popular speculation Note the glasses 2, The Curse spreads to Luz as she starts to become more feathery and wild over time 3. We never find out who cursed Eda 4. King's need to win playground games against small children leads to him just making up a game that only he knows the rules to 5. The Bat Queen's owner was the Titan 6. The Bat Queen dies in a fight against the Emperor 7. Luz's Palisman will be one of the Bat babies 8. That kid with the deep voice, his father teaches at Hexside 9. an upcoming episode shows that sports game between Glandus and Hexside 10. Eda will eventually get stuck in Owl Beast form and Luz will get to ride her in to battle 11. Eda will eventually become a mom 12. Gus breaks his flags 13. King will discover the power to mind control threw his song 14. Some demons can learn by eating books and can perfectly remember what they eat 15. The Bat queen's kids will train Luz to be more powerful

man whoever made the game you shown in the beginning is probably really smart and handsome :) when I saw the episode for the first time, i just assume the batqueen feeding her babies a book was just because they're most likely made out of wood (as Eda said she carved Owlbert from the branch of an ancient tree, the bat queen probably was also carved out of a tree, a really really big tree) and paper is also made out of wood, idk. But it is great that you give special attention to small details like those, in a show made by that creative team, it is likely to pay of ;)

Good catch on how important that last scene of the Bat Queen feeding her babies was, it's not gonna come up again until later in Season 2, but by then, when Gigi, Sumara and Nill (the baby bats) get old enough to talk the knowledge they've consumed from an old journal is gonna become really important for Luz (funnily enough, it's hinted that the journal was one of the journals from Gravity Falls fcgvbhjn)

“Spoiler”: It’s really sad how all of Eda’s and Lilith’s conflicts started because Lilith wanted to beat Eda in the tryouts for cheer captain in school. What a petty reason to curse someone. In the end though Eda got the brooding mysterious musician love-interest and Lilith ended up with really horrible friends and way too much pressure so what goes around comes around I guess.

Bat Queen's creator and former owner wasn't just a giant, he was another titan! While King is voiced by Alex Hirsch, the Rage Squeal was Dana Terrace herself. Fun little fact. Eda's curse is worsening, and this does come back, albeit not for a few episodes. It most certainly influences a few of her decisions in the time to come though, or at least that's what I believe. The Bat Queen's a Palisman, likely the most powerful one ever. And given that Palismen are meant to supplement and enhance a Witch's magic, one shudders to think of what she and her owner were once capable of. How she came to be discarded, if she truly was thrown away, is one of the show's greatest mysteries. While the next episode isn't of much interest to me personally (though it certainly has moments to think about), episodes 12 and 13 are very much the opposite. Oh, the theory dumping to be had! Regardless, I look forward to the next installment all the same!

I'm looking forward to your reaction when you find out that King was cursed as well when he was a Baby to stay cute forever and thus stezling Edas elixier to break it. That's why Eda is going short. With time she needs more of it but King is stealing about half of her storage to gain his real Demon Prince form back. If I remember right he was cursed to stay cute so that no one would take him seriously anymore. And it works as shown several times. But I guess we'll find out more in the next few seasons. (German here so I only watched the first one)

!!!SPOILER!!! The coo thing about watching people watch show you already watch (other than seeing poeple react to it) is that it can show you stuff you missed. I through the end scene was just a cute scene thrown here for fun but it could also be foreshadowing the mouse creature that eat paper (so knowledge) and than is able to show it!
