So sad, first off don’t pity yourself take every opportunity in life to improve , if your kid has the opportunity to go to school ask him , her to finish. When given the opportunity to work abroad save save save. Try to improve your life as long as you’re alive. Don’t rely on begging and waiting money from DSWD..or blame the Government. I was born poor, I don’t want to die poor. I finished college in a public school. Improve your life, your place is dangerous if there’s flood.

There are hundreds of millions of such people like this in the Philippines and still hundreds of millions more in other S.E. Asian countries. You give to one but what about the other people who also have eyes and can see what others receiving and they're not. Think of the logistics. What they want is an American standard of living turnkey, no strings attached, no effort, no sacrifice, just a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house with a 2-car garage on a little bit of land. AND, Don't forget the two cars. Washer and Dryer again, turnkey. Then you need a maintenance income, something like UBI or S/S AND medical, dental, drug and vision plans. But how do we do that?!?!? How do we get there when we have bills to pay ourselves?!?!? Think about this. You could give $10,000 to every man, woman and child in that Barangay, and they would blow it all in a matter of minutes on stupid shit. They wouldn't know how to handle it or what to do. And they would still be poor and in the same boat a week, a month and yes, even years later, the same boat. The failure is in the development of human capital. Their minds, their brains, their thinking. To turn this around would take TRILLIONS of dollars and even then, there's no guarantee of a good outcome. Maybe A.I. will come up with a solution to the world's problems. The one overarching problem to all problems is human greed, human evil and human narcissism. The problem is humans themselves. WE are the problem. Our attitudes toward life, toward this planet and toward each other. I felt sorry for the lady who was beaten by her overseas employer. That in fact is EXTREMELY common and many keep their mouths shut and simply don't report it just to keep sending money home. Many end up dead or missing.
