Im like ugly crying right now. Im a struggling drug addict and i feel it so hard everytime you say "you let us all down" like a knife to my soul. I wish i could just die but i know that would be the biggest let down i could ever put my family through. I love every song that ive heard from you guys including this one. Im going through the list one after the other right now and im breaking down more and with each one. No clue if it'll end up being more traumatic or cathartic for me once im done. But i have no doubt whichever it is, its going be powerful af. No worries though if i end up in the looney bin ill blame it on The deep south or something haha

I know this probably won't be responded to, but while this song has received plenty of just praise in the comments, I wanted to offer a small bit of criticism. While the lyrics do tell about a deception, they don't go into specifics, and I do think that's a bit of a mistake. A more relatable, more resonant, and more impactful story will have more specific details. Lies are referenced, but not what those lies are. Betrayal is mentioned, but not the how and what of the betrayal. A promise is made, but not kept, but we don't know what that promise is. Small, even metaphorical references here can give the audience so much more to work with in the space of connecting with the song emotionally. I love the production, instrumentals, and the vocals, and the lyrics certainly aren't bad by any means. I just think there's still some room for improvement. :) P.S. "Lies **you're** choking on now" ;)
