If you watch Rollo's strikes he intentionally uses a staff and the side of his ax to NOT kill Floki. I KNOW the handle was broken but Rollo was an incredible warrior and could have killed him with a quickness but I will forever believe he held back just a smidge.

And those going a viking did loot better armor if they could. The show thou took alot of liberty in the costumes. Still a great show and designs, but defenately inaccurate.

I think it was because he didnt have the talking skills in front of a crowd like Ragnar had but was alright in private to talk about rading or battle tactics but was left out because of the former and rather than bitterly jealous was like you say, envious, it led to him wanting that power elsewhere. Himself and Roki were mixed up in their loyalties but in different ways.

Floki need’s to watch out who he messes with. Rolo wasn’t scared of anyone including his brother Ragnar. However Rolo was stupid , and always let his ego choose the path he would go on. Until he became a Duke in Frankia , France, then things started going well for him. He beat Ragnar in battle and almost killed him. That was the only time Rolo got the better of his brother Ragnar. I lived this show and wish there were more episodes.

The jumping over the shield wall thing was already inaccurate enough, but then they decided to make it worse by having Rollo fight shirtless with no armor or protection of any kind. My God this is stupid. Nobody would've been stupid enough to fight without a helmet at the very least.

Most hate to admit it, but Rollo was a beast that none of them could beat in battle. Including Ragnar. Ragnar was more famous by far, but Rollo was the best warrior by far.
