This is probably the best and unique sitcoms ever produced. The premise is that you follow the same characters and their ancestors/descendants at different historical times. Each series is set in a different period of British history, beginning in 1485 and ending in 1917. The first series was called The Black Adder and was set in the fictional reign of "Richard IV". The second series, Blackadder II was set during the reign of Elizabeth I. Blackadder the Third was set during the late 18th and early 19th centuries in the reign of George III, and Blackadder Goes Forth was set in 1917 in the trenches of the Great War. YOU HAVE TO WATCH THEM. (series 1 not the best, but series 2 - 4 incredible!) everyone's favourite character is Baldrick.
@Areyousayingidontknowmyname3 жыл бұрын
I did put a comment up. Not as flashy as yours. But to give the idea. But also hidden all the way through it is factual quips about historical events. The characters in essence might be largely fictional but if i remember correct I believe Blackadder is gleamed off the black prince. Prince Edward.

Blackadder was a laugh out loud comedy/farcical TV series, lads (until the very end part in S4). . . As others have said seasons 2 to 4 are gold, I don't mind season 1 but the humour won't translate as much to the US. He had the pencils up his nose as he was trying to get sent home from the war. Season 4 does a fantastic job of highlighting the lunacy of the war! Definitely watch them guys, arguably the best British sitcom of all time.

Blackadder 1 to 4 is one of the greatest collections of British comedy shows ever. You’ve got a lot to look forward to.

It’s blackadder goes forth and the series is a masterpiece. It’s loaded with the cream of British comedy talent and the performances and writing are immaculate. It takes a subject as serious as the First World War and makes it a superb comedy without ever disrespecting those that fought.

This is a prime example of word play at which we in UK are supreme masters at - and our comedy just blows your US 'so-called' comedy clean out of the water.

PLEASE react to the entire 4th series of Blackadder!! 6 episodes, it's all set in the trenches and is absolutely hilarious like this start to finish. All blackadder series are good but 'Blackadder goes Forth' (4th season) is by far the best. Glad you liked the clip!

Blackadder was trying to get discharged by being mad, hence the pencils up his nose. Blackadder is arguably the greatest British sitcom ever made. 4 series set in four different eras of British history

You guy's have stumbled across one of the all time comedies. You have so many laughs ahead going thru the ages with 'B'ladder' lol. The first series is a little dodgy ,but there after it is pure genious.
@rayquirk49473 жыл бұрын
The sticks up the nose etc were Rowan Atkinson’s character’s attempt to get sent home from the war on the grounds of insanity. It was basically that or dying horribly. Blackadder was a fantastic series. 2 being my favourite, but what an ending as shown in the culmination to series 4.

Its great to see you do old English Blackadder series, I loved your true reaction when you realised who Hugh Laurie was then you said Mr Bean hahaha, that's awesome, you seem to be pulling the Brits with these reactions, and at the same time, we love seeing you enjoy something we have for years and you just finding it now xx

The guy who didn't become Mr Bean or House is Tony Robinson - he went on to present a very successful archaeological series called Time Team. I don't recall them unearthing any ostriches, but they did do an episode uncovering a World War I flamethrower.

Just an unbelievable series Black Adder - but the end of the very last episode there was a stroke of genius. I laughed throughout and then the end came - unexpected and it caught me off guard. Seeing this clip makes me want to watch it all over again.

Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry (also in Blackadder) used to do a show called a bit of Fry and Laurie, something else he was in. didn't take you long to work out that Blackadder is Mr. Bean :)

Blackadder is one of the greatest sitcoms Britain has ever produced, but it was made by the BBC and you'll never get reactions on KZbin. But you should watch them all, 100%. If you can find a way for us to enjoy them with you, that's a bonus.

Apart from the first series, Blackadder is (in my opinion) one of the best series ever .... it has a brilliant cast and is so funny, but very offbeat. The last episode of the 4th series is outstanding .... along with all the humour, it manages to give a final scene that is incredibly poignant (and actually brought me to tears)
