From experience I know what it’s like to have someone recommend a person and you trust them and pay 💰 and screw up. It’s a very good thing this customer came to a place a Master does great work 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾💯💯💯

Whoever did that "repair" should be ashamed of himself for even letting anyone see that work, let alone charging money for it. It's satisfying to see them done right. Now the owner just needs to learn how to care for his uppers...

I first heard about your channel a while back from Steve from Bedo’s. He gave you a good recommendation and he was not wrong. I’ve been following you for a while and your attention to detail is great. I know Steve will not be in business forever, so you’re on my short list of guys to send my shoes, even if you are across the pond.

A lot of repair work seems to be tedious detail, which may be why the other cobbler didn't do the work. You did, Mark, and the results are a good looking pair of shoes. The Aldens got the treatment they deserved.

Finding good work is just so hard, which I think is pretty sad overall. Too many people that just don't give much for their own work after a while. Good on you!

They were the It's Hide Commando soles. They look better on other types of boots/shoes but you do see this style on a lot of brogues these days. Thanks again

IMO the person who worked on these shoes is a thief for taking money for such shoddy work. The shoes look great and are probably more comfortable now.

Sorry...but not sorry...if a cobbler did that poor of a job on my shoes, (and did not refund me my money)...I would be posting online in every forum I could find...exposing them. I would be some kind of mad. Here in Texas...we have a saying for what I would have done, "I'm gonna put footprints on the ceiling!"

Yeah this guy didn't want the hassel I don't think of going back to the original repairer so came to me to put it right. A shame as he was duped into that terrible Job! I would have done the same. But at least now they are back up and looking better than ever!

I don`t really get the point of restoring the shoes at that point. They are shoes, not meant to last forever. I assume the repair is not cheap at all.

These are $600 dollar shoes, so to the customer it was worth investing in having them restored rather than paying triple the price for a new pair
