Blitzø's "He can get hurt?" line really hit me right in the feels. His facial expression and tone of voice just shows that he really does care about Stolas. And the scene right after? I've never gotten so emotional from a text chain before.

I'm annoyed at myself. Me and my hyper focused ass went back and only read the large paragraph. But once I finished editing the video, I forgot there was more, and to see how many times Stolas reached out to Blitz and barely received responses back or being rejected was upsetting. Stolas deserves better!

THANK YOU for realizing Stolas was just putting on a tough guy act when he was doing the kinky talk. You're one of the few that has. Blitz0 saw what Stolas truly looked like and some small fraction of what he is REALLY capable of. That's probably why he thinks he's so invincible. What's forgotten most of the time is when angelic weapons and holy technology come into play.

Yes, they did change Striker's voice actor. According to Vivzie, Norman Reedus was to busy with something else. In this episode, he was voiced by Ed Bosco, who voiced Alastor in the Hazbin Pilot.

Yeah he has lots of work plus, Vivzie stated in a watch along livestream before, that Norman Reedus is a fan of series. So he pretty much did the voice of Striker as a favor. I’m guessing Norman got a similar salary like the other VA’s. So the team did not spend a furtive to have him as a guest star. I honestly love both voices if is a one and done thing for Norman im okay with it if he decides to come back for one more time that would be awesome too. Ed Bosco is killing it with his characters.

I love this episode, but what's heartbreaking was the ending. Since it seems Blitzø has the idea Stolas was untouchable, and is caught off guard that he can have the ability to get hurt. I was kinda expecting since he did have angelic epsode in its introduction eposde but it was still very sad seeing him hurt.

To me the classism in this episode wasnt an accident. It was reminding us of the first crack in in the Stolitz relationship; Blitz was NEVER GIVEN A CHOICE to be associated with Stolas. From day one he was forced to hang out with him and didnt have the same crush feelings Stolas did. Then when Blitz first went to steal the book, it didnt matter that it was Stolas that had it. He simply wanted the book. Then in episode 1 when Blitz and Stolas make their agreement for the book, its an arrangement of sexual favors. And in Loolooland Stolas is just sexualizing him the entire time. The fact that Blitz even has the feelings that he has at this point for Stolas given that context is pretty amazing. Realizing Stolas can get hurt rocked him to his core because after episode 6 he truly saw how powerful Stolas was.

The 'Deal @ Ozzie's' reminder on Stolas's phone in the beginning of the episode is a setup for what's about to happen in the next episode. In episode 1 (of season 2) when Stolas was singing he was reading a book on a page about 'Asmodean Crystals' which I don't know if are only rumored or actually confirmed to be key to accessing the living world to imps that don't have magical powers ( ex: Verosika is able to access the living world because she has a crystal. Also, Blitzo started IMP using Verosika's crystal ). Most reckon that Stolas wants to give Blitzo a crystal so he wouldn't have to borrow and return the Grimoire anymore.

It might be also because Erica had lots of projects going on. She is character in a recent game Hi-Fi Rush and she is the English VA of Lady Nagant in My hero Academia. She is quite fantastic. But I had no idea about her boyfriend dying. That’s truly awful. I think it’s great they are still including Loona In one way and they keep her voice and not temporary replace it. Erica is obviously important member of the cast some I’m guessing there have been some changes to the script to cover her absence.

The flower petals seems to be representing the "he loves me, he loves me not." The first petal falls when Stolas sees that Blitz texted to check on him (he loves me). Another falls when Stolas relaizes Blitz wasn't going to respond to his final text (he loves me not). Another falls when he places the phone down (he loves me) perhaps there is some sliver of hope in Stolas that Blitz may truly care for him. Then the flower's last petal falls, ending on (he loves me not).

My opinion is that i feel helluva boss gets a lot of criticism for the same thing every other show generally does, but because the spacing is so far inbetween episodes, the audience over digests waiting for the next one and psychoanalyzes things that other shows get away with all the time. I think this is most prominently shown between the ozzie episode to now. People want the plot of the show to be resolved NOW. Why didnt stolas and blitzo makeup NOW. Why arent they healtheir NOW. Why didnt we see them makeup THIS EPISODE. The two seasons combined barely make up one season of any other show and everyone has expectations for every character to have gone through a personal story arch. Its so frustrating to think if the episodes came out all together or once a week, people wouldnt be nearly as critical. Simultaneously i get it though. The wait times are agonizing and the hype dies. I get the criticisms on character growth and i think a lot of them have merit to them. I just am kind of tired of hearing people moan about plotpoints not being solved within 3 episode time gaps.

That way I'm more in where the characters are currently and not just where I am after months of waiting ^^; It does seem to make people VERY short tempered toward Blitzø and Stolas (Especially Blitzø lol....) when the characters actions really aren't THAT slow.

I have a feeling we’re gonna get blitzo’s visual reciprocation once we know his backstory. From what we know from s1 ep6, blitzo pushes everyone he loves away before they leave him and I really want to know what the catalyst for that was(probably has to due with his mother and sister, s1 ep7). Stolas and blitzo are just a 200k words, angst, childhood friends to strangers to friends to lovers, slow burn😃👍

The dying flower I am hoping is symbolizing that the relationship is dying rather then it predicting Stoles’ death. Ever since the lullaby with Octavia when he says “When I’m gone, you will be okay.” Just makes me think that it was foreshadowing his death.

Not sure if you noticed, but the hospital Loon and Blitz went to was in the sloth ring, as indicated by the pink sky (It is also believed to be the native home land of the candlehead goat demons, the doctor is one of these candlehead demons, similar to how the demon sharks that are native to the greed ring as seen in S2 EP3)

I often hate the “will they won’t they” trope too, because it’s usually done poorly, and is often based in petty misunderstandings and such. However, I personally feel like the dynamic between Blitzo and Stolas needs the extra breathing room to develop properly, as they both have a lot of issues to work through before they can reach a truly healthy place where they can be in a proper relationship together. While I fully agree that Stolas has been through so much shit, and that he 100% deserves better than Blitzo seemingly stringing him along, I feel like it’s unfair to put all of the blame for the relationship not working solely on Blitzo’s shoulders. Both of them have been unable to properly communicate with each other, and it’s hurting them both, deeply, in the long run. They both need serious therapy, but as that’s likely difficult to find in Hell, they both at the very least need to be able to sit down and actually _talk_ to each other. Stolas needs to know that his affections aren’t one-sided, that Blitzo actually cares for him deeply; it’s just that Blitzo has such a deep and profound amount of self-loathing and self-doubt when it comes to relationships, that he can’t bring himself to believe that Stolas actually loves him back, because Blitzo can’t see anything to love within himself. I think Blitzo needs to feel useful or needed, in order to justify in his mind why people would keep him around. (Loona needs him because he’s her father, who provides for her. Millie and Moxxie need him because he’s their employer, so they depend on him for their income, etc.) Blitzo doesn’t see why Stolas would _need_ him, apart from him providing sex, and so he feels less secure in his standing with Stolas. Blitzo needs to be told just how important he is to Stolas, because I truly don’t think he knows. Stolas was so isolated his whole life, first by his friend-less childhood, and then by his abusive marriage, so he’s never really developed the communication skills needed for a healthy relationship. But, both in childhood, and then later as adults, Blitzo inadvertently gave Stolas a connection that he desperately needed. Blitzo was a light in the dark, a spark that reignited Stolas’ passion for life again, and represented a possible lifeline out of Stolas’ wretched rut of a life. And so Stolas _clung_ to that lifeline like a drowning man, overcompensating, and barrelling past Blitzo’s boundaries, thus making Blitzo think Stolas was only interested in sex, or was using him as a shiny new toy, but wasn’t interested in him, as a person; when in reality, Stolas was mainly interested in literally _anything_ he thought would allow him to spend time with Blitzo, and sex was just the easiest thing, that he knew they both liked. I think, until Ozzy’s, Stolas genuinely thought that Blitzo was pretty much fully on board with their arrangement, and was just playing hard to get at times. It wasn’t until Blitzo stated, with literal tears in his eyes, that their relationship was nothing more than Stolas wanting Blitzo to fuck him, that Stolas truly realized how mistaken in his approach he had been. He realized, likely in horror, just how little choice he’d been giving Blitzo in their relationship, up until that point, especially with the Grimoire deal hanging over Blitzo’s head, essentially forcing Blitzo to have sex with Stolas, in order to keep his business running. While Blitzo does seem to enjoy his time with Stolas, he can’t allow himself to see it as anything but transactional, rather than genuine, because that’s how it’s been framed for most of their relationship. Since Ozzy’s, we can see through the text messages between the two of them that Stolas has tried hard to course correct things by trying to give Blitzo as much choice as possible on if they spend time together or have sex, and by trying to take the pressure out of the Grimoire deal, but Blitzo is probably more confused by the new dynamic, more than anything, without a proper explanation for why it’s happening. Since Stolas now has an Asmodean Crystal to give to Blitzo (as of the most recent episode) we know that he’s looking for a way to give Blitzo the ability to travel to Earth and do his job, without forcing him to rely on Stolas’ grimoire, in order to give them both as equal a standing as possible in the relationship. When Stolas eventually gives Blitzo the crystal, if he can explain properly that he still wants to spend time with Blitzo, but doesn’t want to force him to, if Blitzo truly doesn’t want to, I think that could potentially be a good first step towards them communicating properly (as long as Blitzo doesn’t misinterpret it as a rejection of sorts, which is possible). (Sorry for the long rant. These two just give me a lot of feelings.)

I really like how these two are both so complicated and messy, and both at fault and not at fault at the same time, and how their miscommunication spirals in a painful but believable and understandable way on both ends. I am really excited to see Stolas give him the crystal, it's what needed to happen, I just hope Blitz gives him a chance to explain first without immediately assuming he's being cut loose. And yeah exactly, the text messages are really interesting, because it lays out their miscommunication perfectly. Blitz is guarded, and doesn't want to admit how hurt he is, which spirals Stolas into seemingly minimizing what happened at Ozzy's in an effort to match his energy and out of fear of scaring Blitz off from communicating at all, and then tries to respect Blitz's boundaries as much as possible and make him know that there is absolutely no obligation, which makes Blitz think he keeps changing his mind and isn't super serious on wanting him around. What a clusterfuck. And despite everything, Blitz reaches out first for the first time to Stolas to see if he's okay, and then doesn't respond likely out of fear/guilt, and due to his own complex of thinking he makes everything worse. They each care so much and yet think the other doesn't really. Agh. Sorry for the paragraph, it's just your comment is the first one I've seen that has outlined their relationship issues in a way I fully agree with. Love these dumbasses.

This is months old now but I hope you see it! One thing people don't always remember is Blitzø can't read or write well at ALL. Whenever he texts we see him use text to speech badly or just emojis. He grew up in the circus uneducated and had to learn as he was older. Stolas, bless him, grew up in a library! Every time he sends a long kinda rambling kinda unclear message with longer or more uncommon words its something Blitzø has to actively translate and then put effort into replying even a few words. Blitzø put notable effort to type that "Get better soon :(" and its not text to speech even (the frown indicates he typed it) so to get two longer and emotionally heavy messages back was probably a bit too much. Is it cool to leave Stolas on read? No. But it feels like Blitzø often has to work twice as hard to meet the bare minimum and watchers kinda don't notice. In "Murder Family'" Blitzø pleads for Stolas to not use that "fancy rich people talk" because its hard for him to understand. Blitzø is offended thinking "grimoire" is an insult. Blitzø screams at Moxxie to shut the fck up when Moxxie starts using verbose pompous language in Spring Breakers and Truth Seekers -- because it makes him feel stupid, unintelligent, and vulnerable. In his Truth Seekers hallucination Blitzø's version of Moxxie insults his intelligence and tells him to open a dictionary. Blitzø struggles to read, though he now can its not as natural. Loona is the one that reads the book not him, and when little kid Stolas tries to show him books Blitzø is irritated and bored because he literally can't engage with books. To kinda tack on another point, after Ozzy's Blitzø drives Stolas home...even though Stolas can teleport. Blitzø sits and tries not to cry, listening to Stolas. Blitzø gets mad because he thinks Stolas is lying about having a good time, and lying about talking/watching a movie just to get him to come inside to "cuddle" and have sex. Its why Blitzø only freaks out once Stolas says "cuddle". Blitzø is humiliated from the club from Stolas being ashamed to be seen with him, and yet still willing to lie and use his body. Blitzø LIKES Stolas and this is very painful and hard (the reason he stalks the M&Ms is hes obsessed with their pure happy love and doesn't think he can ever have love like that so the only option he has is to basically leach off them. He thinks Stolas is there at the club for sex if anything.) Lastly.... after all that pain, Blitzø is the honest one that says how he really feels "you just want me to fck you!" and then Blitzø apologizes to Stolas!!!! He thinks Stolas just wants his body and he still likes Stolas enough to apologize for not putting out. And I adore Stolas but all he had to do in that moment was say "Thats not true. I like you, I want more than that." or just Stolas to say ANYTHING. Instead he says "Goodnight" letting Blitzø think its true. Stolas reinforces Blitzø's assumption that its just sex for Stolas. blah, sorry I feel like Blitzø gets kinda misunderstood or misread a lot. Like in this episode when he learns Stolas is with Striker he crushes his phone and breaks the Gear Shift. He is enraged but needs to help his daughter- caught between two huge important people to him. His reactions just kinda seem to be more understated versus how loud and intense he is. TY to anyone that read all that ^^;;;

I think the reason they had Blitz be absent for the Stryker-Stolas plot is because Blitz would not have reacted "correctly" to seeing Stolas hurt. Blitz would have been unable to handle it and noped out of there. If he did that, though, it would alienate a lot of his fans and the ship would be 100% dead. As for the S1 finale, I've heard speculation that it was actually about Loona, going back to what she said to Octavia during S2E2.

We know Blitzo wants love so it sucks that he has someone right in front of him who would give him everything he could ever want if he asked him to. I think it’s that he still believes Stolas is too good for him as well as his habit of forcing others away so he wont get hurt. I hope that they either work out their relationship soon or I agree with you that Stolas moves on/distances himself from Blitzo as much as I hate to say that. I’m a huge Blitzo and Stolas supporter but its clearly not good for Stolas to continuously be around Blitzo, he gets his hopes up only for them to come crumbling down. That’s not good for anyone but especially not during everything that’s going on already with Stella and her batshittery!

Agreed. Blitz hates himself, we saw that in S1 E7. He blacks out his own face in all his photos, the main focus of the photos (the reason he puts them up) Is all the people he loves. In that same episode We can see in his phone that he took a secret photo of him and Stolas when Stolas was sleeping and Blitz is smiling softly. He does care, he does want it but he feels like he is not good enough for it, from anyone.

And when Octavia learns he's in the hospital after an attempted murder, she's going to be devastated. I think they missed an opportunity with this episode. To me by far the more interesting aspect of the overarching plot is the tension and struggles between higher and lower classes of demons. That's really what makes Striker so compelling: It's not how cool or badass he is, it's how INVESTED he is in killing Stolas - and by extention all of the royal classes of demons. There's some kind of reckoning coming for Stolas. He's gonna have to seriously engage with the issue of the classist society in Hell. In this game I.M.P. are classic working class heroes, and their perspective is really important but is pretty much absent from the story except for Blitzø. They had a great opportunity to get Moxxie's and Millie's perspective in their second confrontation with Striker, but instead they chose to make the fight gag-based and almost entirely without speech. This, I think, was a mistake. It left the fight as just anorher animation showoff and quite low-stakes - we pretty much knew, that neither of them would die and that Striker would get away. Having M&M instead react to Striker's disdain for the upper classes would've been really interesting.

Best episode of the show honestly, the ending is the best scene of the show imo. I'd still rate this with a 7/10. It's just a good episode.

Another great reaction! I really loved this episode, especially that gut-wrenching ending. Of course Stolas deserves better, and he has gone through so much already, but this is truly the turning point in their relationship. What happened at Ozzie's was important, but this? This time Blitz and Stolas can't pretend nothing happened. Stolas has been trying to reach him and, although he's not great at communicating his feelings, he has tried. Now it's Blitz's turn. This is going to be difficult because Blitz has so much trauma and self-hatred, and now feeling guilty for what happened to Stolas, he will have to confront his feelings, the notion that Stolas can be vulnerable, and do better for him. We're witnessing the development of their love story but right now it's a rough moment. Things will be okay though! I can't wait to see how they resolve this and their characters and relationship develop.

Stella is not just ruthless but also primitive and quite stupid... she is only interested in herself... but what if Andrealphus betrays her too.... wants to kill Octavia and Stolas so he can get the Grimmoire? That would be the point where she can show greatness and maybe give IMP an important hint where to find them, for a last minute safe or something... Likewise, I was thinking... "How did Striker escape?" ... What if he has a way to switch back and forth between realms (heaven, earth and sky? Because there is a theory among fans that he got the Holy Weapons from the Cherubs, because they also want to take revenge as IMP. Anyway.. Stolas, Octavia and IMP are in great danger. And there are 8 more episodes about to come for this season... A lot can/will happen.
