Jamie, I am planning to create my site using the 2024 theme and your videos are a big reason for it. However, would it be beneficial if I use a theme like Ollie or Spectra One cos those get updated often due to their commercial nature? I checked 2024 and it was last updated in July. Would using the default themes for long term be a good idea?

2024 is updated fairly regularly (enough for a theme) so you won't have any issues using it. However if you use a theme like Ollie you'll get more innovation and speed of development because they are incentivised by the market :)

You can replace 'multiply' with 'screen' in the snippet to work over dark backgrounds.
