Hi Jamie, I wonder if I can bother you for an opinion. Building a website I decided to migrate from the Velux theme to the codeify theme on WordPress and beginning to wonder if that was a big mistake. It fits perfectly with my business model, however, the support from Blockify is not forthcoming. I have put a lot of work into it to make my artificial intelligence focused website look amazing and now I understand that the theme does not seem to have much of a support. Do you have any recommendations that might be of a similar layout to the codify theme in your repertoire? Any suggestions would be appreciated as it seems like I might have to start again from scratch making almost 3 months worth of work redundant. By the way I have reached out to Blockify for assistance on multiple occasions and nothing is forthcoming. Quite disappointing (andvery expensive) actually. Thank you for reading this message.

Hi Jamie, thx for sharing you great work ! ran into a problem. Do you have any idea ? I uploaded the template to a fresh WP installation and activated it. The site is up. But I can't get into the site editor. I get a critical error. If I upload the original twentytwentyfour files, the site editor runs again immediately. What am I doing wrong?

i want to use WordPress and the tools it offers, but the more i look into it.. it seems I will just end up buying prem versions of Plugins! which then makes me believe I will just end up with a yearly sub based block editor like Elementor. In respect of cost, can Wordpress offer a solid block editor without leaning so much into a prem versions of the block editors?

The thought that occurred to me as I was watching this is "He's using WordPress like a camera!" but then I thought, no, that's not quite right, you're more like painting with WordPress. Reproducing electronically, what was originally done in print! The next thought that occurred to me is "Man, he makes that look easy!". Bravo, Jamie. Very nicely done.

Well, i think this is the root of my problem. It's gonna take some time to actually figure out this workflow but yeah, I think basically I've got some bits in the page editor and some in the site editor etc. Thanks very much...deep sigh...okay off we go!

In my honest opinion without proper MediaQuery support Block Themes are in fact a step back in fine duned design department. I seriously can't imagine anyone using block themes for a larger than blog or startup portolio business theme. The amount of confusion jumping around page, theme, style etc... EDIT: That said some functions in block themes (allowing padding, margins etc) have been all but welcome for ages - and I know some can be turned on via Functions file in classic themes.

I simply can't believe that this is even possible. Is this a new feature? There are sooo many tutorials showing ineffective ways to edit the shop with plugins, but this blows them out of the water. What kind of theme do I use? I liked using astra or kadence theme with the kadence blocks plugin. Now I need a different one that's a block theme, you have any recommendation? I just started with twenty-twenty four. Either way the customization we are getting with this feature is out of this world

I have a site that was built in 2015 using the classic Genesis theme and a child theme. The site includes a blog and woocommerce store. It was filled with lots of plugins and widgets. It would be nice to know which type of plugin and widgets are no longer needed when switching to a block theme such as Ollie to recreate the old website.

Jamie, I've followed the above, looks great, I've found a bug I think, not sure if you know the solution? When the navigation is viewed at mobile width so it changes to a burger menu it only opens within the height of the row and scrolls, rather than covering the whole page, it's only an issue when it's the mobile menu, and if I take the navigation out of the row it's fine (but then I can't have the button and logo). I've found if I remove the blur CSS it stops it from happening too. So it appears to be an issue using a mobile navigation within a row that either has or is sat in a group using the blur CSS. Removing the blur fixes this, but the effect isn't as nice. Thanks

Hey Jamie! Thank you for the video, I have a question. I did the custom CSS thing and I got an error message on the lines of code. I made sure to follow the exact instructions/line of code. But I didn't remove the block that exists at the top of the page. Any reasons or advice?

Hi Jamie, This is an off topic question. Is there a built-in block for filtering posts in WP? let's say I have a recipe website with main categories as "Meat", "Vegetarian", "Vegan" etc. User clicks on Vegetaran section and is shown all recipes categorised as vegetarian. But if I want to filter within these posts based on let's say "gluten free" or "low fat" which might be sub categories or tags i would've added to the posts, how can one achieve this?
