Hi Liya, loved❤❤ your sincere Ren reaction and I just finished listening to your song "Worth it" , saying that I'm impressed would be putting it mildly. Your have a gorgeous breathy, yet ethereal tone I find captivating and the fact that the camera loves you as well, the world is your oyster. I've joined your channel & put you on my independent artists playlist so I'll be following your career as well. 🔥 I find my playlist of indie artist usually turn into the next big music sensation🤩, like Teddy Swims is blowing up now but has been on my playlist for over 5 years. I've been following Angelina Jordan since she was 13 and now She's 18 is signed with Republic and working on her 1st Label LP Record with non other then Toby Gad, one of the biggest hit song writers and producers in the biz. Plus my other favorite artists like Ren, Chinchilla, Sam Tompkins are also from my indie list and their careers are skyrocketing ATM. What can I say? "I KNOW HOW TO PICK EM"😜. I also can't wait to watch you dive into Ren's catalog, there are so many Ren songs I'm dying for you to react too. Plus, any of the artist I've mentioned I also highly recommend for future reactions because I'm more than positive you'd ❤❤all of them. Lmk if you want a suggestion of what to choose if you're interested, I'll never steer you wrong. Cheers Luv 🥂.

As soon as I saw you were an independent artist, I knew this one would hit hard. Keep going. This was a live video with multiple cameras. He didn't have permission to use the location but managed to get in 4 attempts before they got kicked out, so some of the video is edited, but the audio is essentially the best take. Ren was unable to promote his album besides his videos and social media because he was in Canada for a year receiving treatment for the damage done by years of undiagnosed Lyme disease. It's rather ironic that a song saying he doesn't play the game is what helped him release "Sick Boi" as the #1 album in the U.K. and charted on Billboard's Top 200 Albums - as an independent. It's hilarious that there was a music award ceremony that listed his label as "Connor" (his friend who helps make things happen). Ren was on the verge of breaking through when he was 19 years old. He was recording with Sony but became mysteriously too ill and had to back out. He was misdiagnosed for many years as his body and brain were deteriorating. He was being prescribed psychiatric medications since they didn't find anything medically wrong. At one point he was in bed up to 23 hours a day and had stress-induced psychosis (helped by the drugs that were actually supposed to treat psychosis he didn't have). It's a long story, but when he says he's spent "half my life ill", it's true. He's in his early 30's now and will probably never fully recover (although we hope). Amazingly, through all of this, when Ren had good days he was able to put out some GREAT music. You've just fallen into a DEEP rabbit hole. I'll follow to watch as you discover more of Ren and the fantastic talent surrounding him (The artist Chinchilla and Ren's friend/videographer Samuel Perry-Falvey especially).

Personally, I think people should be guided, but in a "What are you looking for? Rap? Hunger, Murderer, etc. Storytelling? The tales of Jenny and Screech" In that sort of way. Every song is great, but if they're looking for some storytelling like Jenny and Screech and hit "back on 74" they're going to be confused. Should we tell them "Oh, X has to be next"? Nah, but we should say "If you want more of his beautiful singing voice, Chalk Outlines would be an amazing choice, whereas if you're looking for Rap, The hunger, or if you want a little of both, maybe Back on 74. You want to feel like your heart has been ripped out and stomped on? Su*cide. You want a little more about Ren's personal life? Sick Boi."

I have watched hundreds of Hi Ren Reaction videos and , IMO, yours was literally in the top couple in how amazing it was and how drawn in, as. RENegade, I was drawn in. It was so cool and genuine. We love when someone gets taken on their first Ride on the REN rollercoaster! You are going to follow him and there is no turning back. REN has changed the lives of thousands. You should go read the comments. 100% of every songs comments are filled with the same thing said different ways. I have never seen a criticism of ANY song. I can’t wait for you to dive into the REN rabbit hole as it’s known. There is nobody like him. Never has been. You’ll see. I’d recommend if you would pick a few of his way different than one another songs. His busking in the streets music many would say is his best songs. His covers are unlike anything you’ll have seen and his voice and skims you will see quickly why hundreds of experienced, reactors of every genre say he is the best to have ever lived. I’d start for me with Earned it/Its a Man’s World and hold on to your britches and then I’d def go right to The Hunger. It is one of many rap songs that sets him apart from the world with that alone. I’m just so pumped to have seen this and know what’s coming for you and now, yours fans to! Thank you! Great reaction, it's always nice to see someone discover Ren and really feel his music and his message. Some Ren song suggestions: The Tales trilogy (the Tales of Jenny and Screech + Violet - you should do all three back to back to back in one video), Money game parts 1, 2 (lyric video), and 3 (unlike the Tales trilogy these are fine to split up, if you prefer to do shorter videos). Sick Boy, Humble (featuring Eden Nash), Chalk Outlines (feat. Chinchilla), Murderer (live acoustic), "Back on 74/Message in a Bottle" and also The Big Push (Ren's street performance covers band): "Bongo Bong" and "I shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip hop". There's loads more, but I guess this is already overwhelming. Hope to see you react to more Ren in the future.

I just saw your Hi Ren reaction, and put this journal entry of Ren's as my comment to that reaction. jAN 01, 2023 rEN~ Up until I was 9 years old, I would intermittently hear a voice in my head that was not my own. The voice was distinctly different to mine, and always negative. It would self criticize or urge me to do things I knew to be morally wrong. The most peculiar thing about the voice was that it took no effort on my behalf to produce. My own thoughts always felt like there was a process that required effort to bring them to the forefront of my mind, this voice appeared as though it was spoken by another. The sentences felt predetermined like they had already been constructed. I remember very vividly at 9 years old, becoming very frustrated with the voice. I stood in my back yard, internally screaming at the voice to be silent again and again, and it did. In a flash there was silence, to the point where my head felt like an empty room. I wasn't used to the quiet and that voice never returned. It almost felt lonely in my head. When I got older I had intermittent bouts with auditory hallucinations where I would hear perfect symphonies, usually at night when drifting off to sleep. They were so clear that they sounded like they were emanating from a radio in the corner of my room. I knew they weren't there, but for some reason they never came with the feeling of fear. I also recall sitting on a bus at the age of 15, and hearing the sound of a crowded room, with about 100 voices chattering away, I was the only person apart from the driver on the bus. These experiences were always very brief, and few and far between. My last hallucination was during an intense bout of psychosis in 2015, and was my first visual hallucination. I was walking down a pavement after jumping out my mums car in a crossroads in a moment of frustration and distress with my condition. I was trying to run from myself. What appeared to be a homeless man with a dark complexion approached me, and asked me what was wrong. I explained that I had been sick most my life, and I wasn't sure I had the strength to continue. He looked at me, and smiled and told me 'everything is going to be okay in the end Ren.' I had not told him my name. There was something so overpoweringly sincere about this very simple message, which brought with it an overwhelming feeling of inner peace, and in a flash, he vanished. My rational brain always linked these experiences to what the doctors have told me, that there are parts of my brain compromised by the autoimmunity in my body. That the myelin sheaths surrounding the complex electrical system that conduct my thoughts were damaged and compromised, causing these lucid experiences that I knew did not exist inside the physical world. The part of me that edges away from logical and rational thought always attributed these thoughts to some kind of otherworldly intervention, that made my thoughts the battleground of some spiritual tug of war. For a long time I never really acknowledged this part of myself, for with it brought the danger and stigma of sounding like a crazy person. I decided with my latest release, to the best of my ability, to capture and express this chess match of thought. Hi Ren comes out in just over 24 hours. I can't wait for you all to hear it.

Ren has a very diverse catalog stylistically, and he's mad talented from producing his own beats to creating his videos - often with videographer Samuel Perry-Falvey, often one-takes, often live audio. And seems to be a genuinely good human. Songs run from good stories to deep to silly to thoughtful to sad to fun. Reggae to rock to hip-hop - even a little classical composition. A good number of homages called "retakes," which are typically new lyrics on an old track. Good luck on your discovery!

Everyone else has pretty much said what I was going to, so I'll just add a tip: KZbin's auto-captions are usually more distracting than helpful. If you have trouble making out the lyrics - and Ren has exceptional enunciation, especially when he raps - then he almost always has them posted on his channel with each song. (y) Oh, also, based off a number of music reactors that I've been watching, it's a good habit to get into to use the back-arrow key to rewind 5 secs when starting up after a pause, to help keep the flow of the music. Great reaction, and yeah, this is a hella big rabbit hole with a huge back catalog and introductions to other awesomeness like The Big Push and Chinchilla.

Ren will change you in the best possible way. He will inspire you creatively but also characterwise. He throws himself 100% into every track he does. He is generous, unjudgemental, uplifting human being with a wicked sense of humor He has been suffering from Neural Lyme disease since he was 19 and has been in extended treatment for the autoimmunity abd brain damage caused by 7 years of misdiagnosis. He is making every moment in his life count. I subbed to share your journey. Do Chalk Outlines live with Chinchilla .

Whatever song or performance you randomly choose will be a wonderful surprise, whether solo or on the streets with The Big Push. As an independent artist Ren gave a masterful lesson on how to utilize social media and reaction channels to engage with people last year. "It's a long way down into the rabbit hole Alice". Have fun.

Welcome new RENegade! 😊 I'm going to be 60 in Sept (2024) and this video/performance literally changed my life!! I'm totally here for your Ren journey!! I've grown up with what I thought was The Best of the Best in music... Then I was blessed with this video... Now I'm a Ren fanatic!! Not since Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20 and solo) has an artist reached into my soul and put all my secrets into words and music... I am BLESSED to be alive to experience Ren in my human form. You, too, are blessed! 😊 Can't wait to share in your Ren journey!! Much Love! ❤

Don’t turn away, don’t be afraid to cry!!! This is what music needs!!!! Real artists writing real music that they care about. Enough with the hip hop about being rich, enough with the pop influencer songs!! People need music to relate to!!! Most people aren’t living the fake lives that are plastered over social media!!!

6:25 - oooh, cool. I think this might be the first reaction video where this line got an immediate and clear response. Some people have seemed to react emotionally to it in some way, but not said anything. And some people (including some of the above, perhaps) may come back to it and say something about it later, but... I don't think I've seen anyone pause at it on their first listen, so... thank you for doing so! Yes, I think Ren definitely has done something great -- with this song and others. Enjoy the rabbit hole of bardcore and more!

Pretty much all I watch are reactors and so I've seen them all. It's so refreshing to have someone down to earth who don't appear to be faking their reactions for views so I would predict your channel doing very well if you keep that in check. As you seem like a nice person, I'm going to give you a few very specific tracks/singles on KZbin that are well known to blow your channel up and make you a lot of money. I've not yet worked my way through all your videos yet (which I'm just about to do) so apologies if you have already done some of them. So, from a high artistic value perspective, anything else from Ren but definitely glad you started with the best, 'Hi Ren.' Now going up level but this time, from a high music & video production value, anything from Falling In Reverse from 'Drugs' onwards is in a brand new incomparable tier of its own and in particular, the best ones from a video production prospective are 'Ronald' and 'Watch The World Burn' as those video alone tipped them over into greatness. Also, from an arrangement perspective, be sure to then do the beautiful 'The Drug In Me Is You Reimagined,' then 'I'm Not a Vampire Revamped' and then 'Last Resort Reimagined,' then any/all the other few from 'Drugs' onwards. (Like Ren, the frontman Ronnie even loves reactors and so also reacts to them reacting to him, which can be fun from that inception angle. I think he'd really like you so maybe someone will suggest you to him at some point.) Now up a level again but this time from a high singing skills value, a super special one would be 'Creep - Vintage Postmodern Jukebox Radiohead Cover ft. Haley Reinhart.' This is my most watched video/listened to single of all time and I have therefore seen it many many many hundreds of times over the nearly decade since it was released. Finally to the pinnacle and from a highly evolved human perspective, a true one off for likely many hundreds of years, Harry Mack. This might not suit your channel but if you compare the two best people in the world at any other discipline, whether that's tennis or car racing or cooking and everything in between, the two best people are always very close in abilities. This is not true in freestyle rap. The greatest freestyle rapper to ever live, Harry Mack, is many many many magnitudes greater than anyone that has done it before or who is likely to do it again in the next century or few. It is a truly remarkable feat of human evolution and so linguistically advanced, it sends tingles down one's spine. I have run an in depth scoring algorithm since he exploded back on the scene following my discovery of him back from his Venice Beach fame, this time with series called Guerrilla Bars, which I luckily picked up on the first one with before he introduced Omegle Bars too. There are typically 3 or 4 different freestyles per video. You'd be best starting with Omegle Bars 52(first two,) 45(first two,) 42(first one,) 18(last one,) 76(first one,) 86(second one,) 96(second one,) 50(second one,) 93(second one,) ... and then any of the others, especially the more recent ones, and don't forget Guerrilla Bars 25(first & last one.) Finally, just some general tips for reactors that were the result of a poll amongst several sizable communities, hence, some may not apply to you: - Remember to not even have a tiny peak at any videos first before recording the reaction as it is impossible to hide that fact no matter how good a reactor thinks they are. - Ensure the video being reacted to occupies at least two thirds of the screen at all times. - Push the mouse cursor to the far right of the screen in the middle (or left depending on if your output is mirrored) and permantly leave it there off-screen so the seek bar is never showing. - Use the 'K' key on the keyboard to pause/play and the 'J' key to skip back 10 seconds. - Before the video begins, press the 'C' key on the keyboard to deactivate the closed captions as no one wants to see words if it's already in their native language. - Even if a reactor believes they're good at acting, viewers can always tell when a fake reaction face is pulled so it's better just to pretend you are not making a video. - Unless a reactor happens to be an expert in a particular related field such as being an esteemed vocal coach, viewers generally are not interested in much commentary at all as are primarily viewing just to witness if any natural facial expressions, etc. occur. Uncontrollable verbal outbursts of admiration are also accepted. (Never forget, many will unsubscribe if the reactions are ever fake.) - Remember, some or all of those suggestions above may not directly apply to you but might be helpful to keep in the back of the mind. Enjoy the channel blowing up (assuming you don't have a peek at any of the above first.) All the best and greetings from England.
