XG is a Global group, they are not Kpop. They even said it themselves. Their music is not even close to what mainstream Kpop is. This is a Japanese Dream Team who trained for years before their debut, to take on the world. You'll see it in their lyrics from " Tippy Toes " ( debut song) to " Shooting Star " . The lyrics show the confidence of this group and it's management team who work with American writers and the girls are all fans TLC, M.J., Destiny'sChild ,Mia and many other female hip hop artists. They love this genre of music and it shows.

@@aeningverse But they definitely sound like Kpop idk why people say otherwise. Like you could give this song to any other Kpop groups and people wouldn't bat an eye. Their fans want them to be different so bad but in reality they aren't that unique. Edit: And before their fans start crying not being unique ≠ always equal being bad. It just means they are unoriginal.

Tell Pops they are so perfect because they trained very hard before they became famous. There's 5-6 episodes of their documentary, it's very emotional but shows their grind. XG is the real deal!!!!

XG is My favorite girl group who's doing it differently and doesn't copy other girl groups like kpop girl groups always trying to copy each other . I've been listening to Kpop since 2009 and about as old school as pops. XG is definitely on another level, especially this Left Right jam here. Since your pops is ol'skool let him check out a group called Rockin Doll and their song I Just Want To Be With U. It's very 80s R&B club sounding.

Show pops (who I calling pops, I'm 50 myself) their documentary and he'll see how real they are. Been training for 5 years before they debuted. 7 Japanese girls chosen from a group over 30 when they were discovered to train in Korea. Some almost didn't make it but worked hard to make it to where they are.
