@@bryanmagness9489 Me, too. I'm 54 & grew up listening to real country music back in the 70s & 80s as well. I prefer Don's version of 'Amanda' over Waylon Jennings any day, although it seems like stations such as WMAQ in Chicago always played Waylon's version more.

Don Williams was never accused of being verbose. That, as much as anything was responsible for DJs not pushing his music. They hated his reticence to speak. We, his fans loved that he'd rather sing than talk. Don, unlike some in the music business wasn't et up with himself. Strangely he had reason to be, most of his peers not so much.

A really, really great show. Noticed the copyright for this show was 1979, a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then. I thought Don Williams put on a very entertaining show. Can never get enough of him. Started listening to him in 1973 and still listen to him now. Thanks for posting this great video. Now could someone tell me how to save it so I can enjoy it later.

I like some of Don Williams' output, including a few songs also sung by Waylon Jennings. But I *love* the various Sugars who sang with Dave Rowland from 1976 (the year of my birth) to 1981. For the parts of this show spotlighting D&S, jump to 4:08, 11:56 & 18:54.
