I have a 2018 golf R never understand why people delete the rear wiper. Ridiculous, here in the UK it’s essential to see as it’s always raining 😂. Bought the boot poppers. Great job

Yeah same. I guess if you lived in a drier climate, or if I was barely driving it and just showing it off. I drive about 100mi a day in crappy Pittsburgh weather so it's staying on lol. NGL those shocks seem a bit janky too, glad I watched a vid first. I love my mk7.5, only thing I find super annoying though is passenger seat sensor screaming to put seat belt on when I simply have my phone or anything small sitting on it. Less hassle than the mk8 media controls though I guess.

It is hardly essential in the UK, thinking of doing it to my mk 7.5, I have never used the rear wiper personally, and think it is too small and in the way, delete ftw!

I own a white rabbit 7.5, the rear wiper delete looks sooo clean. One of the best quick, affordable mods to make the back end look smoooth

@@crackdog69 What function? Over time the wiper will leave scratches and marks on the window. Leaving you with an arch etched on the window. My car also has a back up camera. With the 3 mirrors, the rear wiper is useless. Water runs right off the back window. Add in some rain x. It's a no brained to me.

You make a good point. Rain X good idea with or without wiper. Scratched glass is a problem, but I thing this happens because people use cheap wipers and or don’t replace often enough when they are coming apart. Anyway it’s all good. Nice to read ur reply.

Heres what i did: I bought White Vision Halogens from Philips & Osram for my GTI Clubsport MK7 found on my channel! Its more clever because of two reasons conversions can give you more trouble than pleasure if things break or yadayada. Second of its obviously much cheaper! 👍

I don't mind the regular trunk pop and lift. I love the OBDII mods, especially the trunk remote pop... but my concern is that the REALLY stiff springs will never ease up. So, for now I'm ok with the stock setup. I just wish the GTI came with this feature STOCK... so weird.

Oh that hatch pop mod is sweet! Me personally, I wouldn't do the rear wiper delete because the rear wiper comes in handy where I live because of the rain and I had a hatchback before without a rear wiper. The car looks clean though.

I've got the hatch pop on my sportswagen. I love it... as long as it's not cold outside. It does not work in the winter up here in the North East US. Generally from the end of September until May, the hatch pop will not work correctly. Now that I've had it on for almost two years, it sometimes struggles even in the summer months on a cool day. I'm not trying to throw shade on ECS' products, just giving a little insight for those that might experience winter as I do. When the struts actually fail, I'll buy another set from ECS. I'll never go back to stock struts.

I know it’s probably still too soon to tell but, have you noticed if the helper spring contacts the paint/body? Just from past experience with hood/trunk kits the spring can sometimes contact the body. Just curious thanks.

Do it dude, Im 20, in college and I wanted the extra space and versatility of a hatchback. The components on a golf feel so much higher in quality compared to other hatches like the mazda 3 or older subarus. Go test drive one I promise you wont regret it.

I’ve always like this mod for the MK7 GTI, but I haven’t done it solely due to it being over $100 just to do it. If it was $50, then I would, but for $100, just too pricey for something so simple.

Friend had 1 of this on his GTI made the hatch hard as hell to close. Before the hatch was closeable with 1 hand, with this mod u need 2 hand to close it. If that's something u don't want to deal with it don't do this.
