Good call holding off on the one that works. Best not tempt the cruel mistress. Nice to see you got it sorted out.

Indeed, I’ve definitely learned that lesson the hard way 😅

Always happy to see a new video with the old gal. Can't wait to see her back on the road! Keep up the good work!

Love the Rick Astley image that popped up at the end there haha! Great work on the headlights, really handy tip on getting the cover alignment too with the bolts just barely nipped up. Looking forward to seeing the brakes dona and an MOT on the old girl. I've just got sills left to finish welding on mine and it should be MOT ready. I'm excited to finally drive it.

I couldn't not sneak a Rick Roll in 😆 Thanks! Hopefully we'll both have our MR2s back on the road soon 🤞

Haha that's crazy, the picture of the car in the car park is where I work..... I currently daily my MR2 in those same spaces.... keep up the good work, love the videos... finding them very useful!!

That’s awesome! If you were there around 2016 did you ever see our MR2 parked there before we bought it?

@@EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness Unfortunately not, moved to that office in 2019, have had the MR2 since 2015 though - Love every minute in it!

The man has skills, lined up that cover nearly perfectly on first go!

It was entirely luck, but I'll still take credit for it 😂

Just watched your entire journey of 7 years in a week, love the work keep it up. Was just wondering tho what happend with the budget count from the first 17 episodes?
@EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness4 ай бұрын
Thanks 😄 I’m impressed you managed to plough through all the videos in a week. I honestly don’t remember why we stopped doing the budget updates, we’ve still been keeping track of how much we spend though. The plan now is to do a final budget run down when she’s back on the road

Loving that the pop up light is now working. Misty has her eyes back. I did notice that the new motor pops the light up and down quicker. Is that by design from Toyota or just that it is a newer motor?
@EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness4 ай бұрын
I noticed that too, I'm guessing it's just due to the other headlight being older and having taken a hit before. Might be interesting to open them up and compare the motors and gear sets. Either way once I swap the other one they'll hopefully move at the speed

Makes it all look so easy. Huge job and expensive. Not for the average person that's for sure.

It’s taken many years and a lot of learning to get Misty to the point, but it’s been mostly enjoyable

the right side headlight is not lining up with the hood, you might want to fix that issue as well..
@EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I’ll fix that when I swap in the new mechanism on that side 👍

mine one just stoped working wouldn’t go up but the left one does …… any idea what could be the problem
@EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness2 ай бұрын
Hard to say without seeing it, on mine at least there’s only one fuse for both lights so that won’t be it. Could be a failed motor or something as simple as a broken wire

Best I can offer is "maybe" 😅 definitely love to be there, as long as we can get Misty road legal in time
