30 years ago when I learned to fly...I learned that following the railroad or an interstate through the mountains usually will lead you through the lowest passes if all else fails.

It's a long A for Flabob sorta like Fl ay bob... ir was named after tow former owners Flavio and Robert (Bob). The mountain on the otherside of the river from there is Mt. Rubidox (x is silent).. Welcome to Riverside.

FYI, I was born right there in Riverside and the house I grew up in was right there on the hill overlooking Riverside Airport. That airport apparently got much bigger in the 30 years I’ve been gone . Left there as a child, but saw my first emergency landing there on a GA aircraft who’s landing gear decided it didn’t want to poke out. It Endo’d itself right there on runway 27.

FLY8MA sent you guys a FR on KZbin. Your place is right near an old friend of mine’s house is in Pahrump. He was a very well known talk radio host and personality. Flown into that area a number of times. Him and his wife were personal good friends of mine for a number of years. Sadly he passed away this last year, and his former wife, Ramona, was a total sweetheart. She passed away from an asthma attack a few years back. Miss Pahrump. The people there were very nice. When we went out to dinner with a well known celebrity in that city, everyone knew who we were, they knew this very famous man, his wife, and they knew me because I was advertised by name globally every night on Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. anyway, the people of Pahrump treated him with total respect and privacy. Realized that moment that everyone in that town were special, extremely nice and would only talk to you if you wanted them to talk to you. Anyways, you’ll see my req. it’s another name, initials CJ. Plan on following your channel, as I find the smaller, personal KZbin channels and what you guys do, to be far more entertaining and real world than other content which is highly edited. Too much editing and you lose the personal side. You are both so candid and I love it. Anyways, when I saw that bobble in thick IFR and the Attitude indicator in a bank, it made me clinch my butt cheeks lol. Surprised nobody caught that. Back on track, all good, nice spot. If you ever get out to NC and feel like running offshore chasing big tuna, look us up. Moved out here last year from California and absolutely loving it ! Cheers

By far my favorite video for a few reasons. I just found Jon on the "Why I Quite the Airlines" video and binged his entire series with Steph. Then when I finished, I followed them on IG and that very day is when they shot this episode. Riverside is my stomping grounds for my aviation training so it was cool hearing you, (celebrities) talking to Dan (Just an old ATC dude) and landing at Flabob. I'm jacked for the next episode because I grew up in Apple Valley and landed there the first time Yesterday. So it was wonderful seeing my hometown(s) in your productions.

Wow, what an amazingly high like to dislike ratio. That’s why I love pilots and aviation enthusiasts. They’re kind, they respect, and they’re human. All of us who risk our lives throwing our bodies in metal tubes and hurling ourselves into the air, apparently have a greater appreciation for life, respect others and show human decency for each other . Great video, cheers!

No, you are not flying the airplane. You are checking your text messages in your phone close enough to IFR conditions. Why she gets mad? Good advice John, the only urgent thing here is “fly the plane”! Actually John, you were very polite despite the circumstances.
