Loved how the actors took their roles so seriously even though it's a b-movie. Although at the very end they kinda weren't phased by the fact that their buddy did that to save them. Very little emotion.

Captain Phillip had seen and been through to much, he brain was to far gone for him to live a normal life. His sacrifice was need as his blood was prison to the insects to be sure they all died at once.
