This kinda of makes me think of that story where an old man owned a pet Phoenix. He took special care of it and kept it safe in his home. When he died of old age, his son inherited his father’s things including the Phoenix which was quite old. He put the Phoenix up on display and started charging people to see the Phoenix making lots of money. One day the bird seemed like it was near the end of his life. He found out that when a Phoenix dies, it bursts into flames and out of the ashes a new baby Phoenix emerges. The man quickly started selling tickets for people to see this event. The room was packed and as the Phoenix began to burn, the room caught fire killing the man and all the other people. Out of the ashes, a new Phoenix appeared. Moral of the story, you get too greedy, you will get burned.

We can all talk about how the saucer is an animal, but it's a hard sell to convince me that it's now malicious or at least vengeful. It got its throat and possibly digestive system scarred by the metal horse and then actively went to a location where people were gathering, sucked them up, store them in the equivalent of its esophagus or mouth, made sure they screamed while it did, kept them like that for hours despite being unable to eat anything else in that time, and then travel back to OJ's house where it was hurt and then proceed to kill them instantly. It recognized where it was hurt, recognized that a human was the cause, and decided to torture dozen of people in a display of intimidation towards OJ. It knew what it was doing and most definitely was acting outside of its typical behavior. Kinda similar to the Tsavo Lions in that regard actually.

I actually have a ton of theories about Jean Jacket. Like the fact that it unfurls and gets bigger, implying that is does that in defense, which would mean it has a predator. Something else I've thought about is the reason why it attacks people or animals that stare at it. If it is truly extraterrestrial then that means it probably has no idea what our eyes are like, meaning, due to how territorial it is, it probably mistakes eyes for offspring of their species, treading on their territory, so it attempts to consume them as to not let them steal their prey.

It just LOOKS like a classic alien flying saucer. I think some of the behind-the-scenes implications states that JJ might actually be native to Earth's biome. None of the other characters - especially O.J. himself - calls JJ an "alien" or something synonymous with that word even after learning the entity's true nature. It's either "animal", "territorial" or "predator". Most of us don't initially think of "aliens" when we hear those words used to refer to an unknown creature. For all we know, JJ could be anything. But an alien? Hmm, not to sure.
