I remember when we went to universal we rode this ride, and we joked with the employee loading us up that he should come on the ride and join us. Well when we got back, the employee was wearing a full water suit, jumped into our ride, and went a second time without getting off. good memories

Probably because it isn't very safe to load people onto these boats barefoot. The turntables could lead to crushed toes if not careful. Universal enforces a strict no barefoot policy on this ride for the same reason.

I went on this once. We waited half an hour, got stopped for 15 minutes, got soaked, and then got stuck on the conveyer belt to go up to the big drop. To make matters worse, storm warnings were playing over the radio.

M well, I went on this ride last Wednesday, I didn’t know about this ride. I had little time to prepare myself to this trip actually, but you see, I was at the park, there was rain announced for that day, I started my day at the park going to Jurassic Park ride. A little wet, it was still sunny, yay, I dried really quick. Went on more rides and at a certain point started to get windy, and then pouring. I went to the Spider-Man ride. All fun and games, inside thing, then I looked at my map and noticed this Popeye ride. I tightened my poncho, that I had put at that time and made my way to Popeye ride. No lines, which I expected because of the rain. Well, you know what happened. There was no piece of my skin that remained wet. The temperature in Orlando started to drop quickly after that. But I have no regrets. On the summer that ride must be the best thing.

Went to universal for 3 days last summer. On the last day we brought clothes to change into and literally went on this thing for 3 hours straight. (wasn't crowded so we never had to wait longer than 10 minutes^^) Amazing ride! :D

I went on this ride and some of family friends had been on this ride before and they literally wore ponchos and still somehow got wet! This ride is probably know for soaking people. Even though you get soaked the first time I ride it we went on it two times and it was amazing! Although they said not to take our shoes off we did the first time cause they let us but the second time we had to sneak them off right when the ride was starting. I have to say hands down to Universal you have ultimately reached the point where that when anyone is burning or wants to get soaked they will go on this ride🙌

The first time I was on here I was terrified and water bothered me because I didn’t like it in my face but I got super drenched my first time and I yelled at my parents 😂 but now I love it and if I ever get kids I’m making them do this lol. Only been to IOA once and I remember this ride VIVIDLY. You get absolutely DRENCHED in every seat! They have those full-body dryers after you get off but none of them were working that day an it was so hot. Couldn't tell what was water and what was sweat! Fun ride though!

Great ride. Really fun to be honest, as long as you don’t care if your clothes get wet and that you will get soaked. You will get wet either way and some may get drenched but trust me. I learned it the hard way. But this is one of the best water rides I’ve been to and it’s really hot usually so it’s good to cool off

We always go all water rides between 11am and 2pm. That is the hottest part of the day and in Florida that can get into the 100's so the water rides feel amazing and it takes no time to dry out. You will need to reapply sun block after water rides to avoid sunburns!!! Also wet denim is Very Heavy and can irritate your skin or cause a rash. Athletic wear is best because it's loose, light weight and dries quickly.

Insanely fun ride! Went here four or five times over the course of my childhood...first time everyone in my family had to buy dry clothes from the park (dryers didn't exist back then). After that we brought dry clothes and stored them in a day locker, middle of the day heat meant time for this and the log flume ride then change clothes and back to the dry rides lol

I was in the park in November 2015 and there was monsoon conditions. Everybody with any sense ran for cover. Not me. I went on this ride time and time again on my own. It was like being Lieutenant Dan on the top of the ship. But the best bit is always when some damn moron gets on with stonewash jeans and his wife is wearing a veil or something and the whole floor floods and then they get drenched. The dryers eat dollars but they aren' t miracle workers.

My family as been going here for a while now and I'm telling you it's the best experience ever .We got on this ride and it was so much fun we are going again in July.
