Just for your information, but the purpose of the double pen loop is you can stick your pen trough both loops when closed, so the pen prevents the cover from unwanted opening 👍🏼 Looks like a great quality genuine leather cover, just a bit pricy like you said.

You stated that you wish it had an elastic band for it to stay closed. What you overlooked is the pen holders are designed for that very propose. Nice field notes cover though.

Used to be a back pocket guy, but after getting the recycled firefighter I have switches to front pocket carry, and it sure is more comfortable. Can't go wrong with quality leather, but currently in the "poor" category so... hah! Maybe one day. Thanks for sharing!

The original size Moleskine cahier ("cahier" is French for notebook) will also fit, as it's the same form factor as a Field Notes (i.e. 3.5x5.5") and also features a thin cardboard ("kraft") cover. Both come in your choice of plain, ruled, doted or hex paper. Not sure who ripped off whom...

Very nice and it could also be used for check books to. If your good at leather working you could make your own design on it to make it better.

Question: I just bought some stuff from Blade-City, I don’t have a lot of experience from this company. But the I bought 3 items, 2 single items and 1 was a grab bag type. All the items came in one box with ZERO PACKAGING and 75% of the items were out of there box or package, there were small pieces of stuff just rolling around in the box. I was VERY UPSET so I took some pictures and emailed them to Blade City along with a voicemail to there telephone system. Right now I’m so pissed but I want to give them the chance to make it right. Have you had anything like this happen to you?
