My Father is getting very close to perfecting the secret Sicilian Pasty from Messina, Pignolata Messinese. This is a call for help though as this labor of love is something we really hope to have for this upcoming Easter which is 59 Days away. You will see in this exclusive video from yesterday my Father is very determined to make it happen and he is getting very close!
I want to thank Chef Umberto Turelli who is getting very close to having my Father and I come and taste test as he has been working hard at making as well. We are also really hoping the Owners of Termini Bros Bakery in South Philly continue their Father Joseph Termini's tradition this upcoming Carnevale/Fat Tuesday Feast Day so we have Pignolata Messinese on our Easter table to carry on this very special Crisafulli Family 5+ generation tradition. We also hope that Veniero's in Manhattan makes again for Easter too and not just for Christmas.
These Sicilian traditions are important not only to us but all who value the importance of keeping traditional recipes alive!
