I use the plastic balls in Guinness cans... I have lotsa spares... 🙄..😂👍☘️🍺 Subbed and liked btw... 😉

I have some thin foam tubing and cram that inside my dead bait and it works fantastic, coupled with elastic banding to secure the fish to my trebles

Also a great idea! I sometimes use my own balsa sticks and insert them into the mouth and down the throat 🎣

Once you set the hooks and if the fish throws the bait, woudn't you loose the pop up rig?

You would yes but that is why I recommend you use bait floss to the the shank :)

A small square of elastic band can help keep the popper loop on the treble.. 😎👍☘️🍺

I put a bait flag on to stop the popper coming off, never lost one yet

Not if you clip the opposite end to the ball to the main trace.

Yes in my view,I've been using them for years a medium size ball a will pop up an half mackerel off the bottom no problem.

The balls don’t put off the Pike ? They look a bit obvious when I set up my pop ups this way so I’m just wondering

Thank you!! It varies depends on the size of bait I use, I’ll start with a 1/0 usually and then go bigger or smaller depending on bait choice
