So Kasumi is a beginner guitarist who doesn't have prior practice. Arisa helped get the price of a really expensive guitar to a really affordable one so Kasumi could buy it. Tae is a pro guitarist who came along to teach Kasumi. Rimi is a really timid bassist who doesn't want the spotlight. Saya is a really nice friend and has always been an amazing drummer. The similarities to Keion is killing me!

That's unnecessary, I'm talking about the feelings they put together into their music, that's basically what passion means. *I'm sorry but this will be very subjective Of course any other bands have their feelings poured into their song, but PoPiPa has something different with the music characteristics, I'm not a fan but their song's just fun for me to listen, even though it sometimes have random weird notes. Other than the music the relationship between each character is also makes it even better, as close as Afterglow who always connected with each other and Roselia who always determined to push forward. PoPiPa is somehow looks mediocre but that's what made them unique, because they're almost fit in featuring with every band. Um... I dunno anymore this made my head spin, putting feelings into word isn't my thing, but at least that's how passionate they are *Sorry for the broken english

69 year old rocker here - from the states. never watched an anime in my life - not a big anime or cartoon guy. discovered roselia a month ago and so i got the backstory on the girl groups that came out of bangdream. i watched the season 1 episode 1 and it hooked me hard. how can anyone NOT love kasumi and all of her trials and tribulations in finding the red guitar , learning to play and forming poppin' party. i may not watch any other anime but i just love bangdream. and the live bands that came from it. great storyline through the whole series and the characters are kawaii to the max. chu2 cracks me up

Idk if it’s just the case with people and I have no intention of pointing out to anyone when I say this but, it seems to me the Japanese (and myself) are more “laid back” in accepting Poppipa as they are. I was more of a Roselia fan at first but Poppin Party is starting to grow on me, likewise with Kasumi’s voice. It’s an acquired taste alright. I mean, I admit they are indeed the most bland in terms of backstory and character if compared to the other bands but, when you exclude that, they actually have pretty nice songs tbh. A wide variety of that too. I like Roselia but I have to say, that in my personal opinion, almost all of their songs sound the same.
