Poppy's album from last was actually more of a pop album with some grunge elements. And before that, she made a metal EP. She started out doing pop music, but the last 5/6 years she has switched genre almost every other song. So she just does whatever she feels like at the time.

It goes back further to her Am I A Girl? album, which the second half becomes alt/metal influenced. Then after that she released the Choke EP which was more industrial/electronica with some metal elements.
