Even the first thing he says to you is relevant to his warning for you, because HE'S the one throwing the stick for YOU to chase after. Subliminally messaging you to "run after the stick", aka run from this place, because, like Dogday warned you, "You can't be here, you can't stay".

​@jordancockrell5783 Although, I suppose that saying "fetch" might not necessarily be the best word choice, lol. Why? Because 'fetching' involves someone throwing an option for you to go and run after to get it....and then bring it _back._ So telling the player to go fetch could be interpreted as him telling them to go get what he threw and then bring it back to him instead of running away. Obviously, that's not the intention, but still. The better word choice might have been "go get it" but I guess that's not as "dog related". That being said that could also be WHY the next line has him asking why you're still there. The person who he was playing fetch with (i.e. the player) went and "got the toy" but then brought it back to him (i.e. they hit the button again) hence him getting annoyed that they're still there.

dog day’s scene is definitely my favorite part of this chapter. the va did such an awesome job and the fact that dogday was originally the optimistic fearless leader makes it all the more tragic and creepy. + mat struggling to find where he’s supposed to run to is the most relatable thing ever, everytime he gets stuck somewhere i’m like “wow, that would be me”😭

I always wondered why the toys didn’t escape after “The Hour of Joy”, but the more I think about it, it seems they’re better off staying hidden. If someone were to come across a living toy, everything that happened at playtime would definitely repeat itself. They’d definitely end up locked up and experimented on further. Maybe the prototype keeps them in the factory for that reason. The only way to leave would b in a human body. Hope the protagonist doesn’t get scooped😱

Catnap, who i assume had the most communication with the prototype, believed the prototype would “save them” which could mean a number of things. I think the prototype kept his goal cryptic bc he just needed them to go along. Poppy sees it as mindless slaughter, but it’s strategic bc no witness could b allowed to escape if he wanted his plan to work.

Or maybe its just a fear factor so you see the eyes in the dark when you're being chased or jump scared so you know they're evil.

Another interesting thing is, with the cutouts, the ones with screams at the end are most likely dead. Like Kickin Chicken. But the thing is, Bobby Bearhug, Picky Piggy, and Crafty Corn do not have screams. With Crafty Corn, she must have stayed alive for a bit longer, as she was most likely the one to write in the vents when we are being chased by huggy, but, was eaten by Picky Piggy, who most likely ate Kickin Chicken, Bubba, and as stated before, Crafty Corn. As she says in her cutout: “Seared Elephant, Grilled Chicken, and Flayed Unicorn.” She must have ate those 3. As for Bobby Bearhug, she is still alive, as there is not a scream at the end. She also remembers us, and asks us to take her with us the next time, also saying that shes “lost.” This indicates that she knows who we are, and she might have given us the idea to leave the factory before the “Hour of Joy.” Also, she is most likely hiding out somewhere, if she is still alive (hopefully.) Picky Piggy is most likely alive too, as there is no scream, and she said she was still hungry, and asked us to be friends. The next chapter is rumored to be in a fairground type setting, as for one of the posters showed. (Not confirmed.) This is just a THEORY. Thanks for reading.

I wonder if Bobby Bearhug will help in the next chapter. Another comment stated this. Flayed as in skin ripped off while alive. There's a chance Picky Pig attempted to eat Crafty Corn but failed, letting Crafty Corn get away, and perhaps travel lower into the factory. Since Picky Pig is still hungry goes after Crafty. Picky Pig might be the next one we fight in the next chapter. Since Crafty didn't scream at the end of the cutout, there is a chance Crafty is still alive; to be determined if Crafty has gone insane;probably. Now that I think about it, Crafty may have killed Bobby, since she said I know you have more red give it here.

Spoilers: there’s a tape that matpat missed that directly says catnap hid some of the children in the hour of joy, and that he wouldn’t tell miss delight where because she would have killed them. My guess is that he locked the teachers away because he wanted to protect the remaining kids, and only unlocked it when they finally died or when there was only one left that he could deal with.

Interestingly during the cave portion you can see Catnap go up to a mesh of character parts like he's worshipping it. It's implied it's a shrine he made of the prototype and the head part is a human skeleton possibly implying the prototype either currently has a human body as a head or needs one to finish the body it's making.

Maybe when you hear his/her cutout, it's implied she/he may have ripped off another friend's or person's skin to wear as their own. Which would also be disturbing but possible. The prototype is using other toys' bodies as a part of his/her body, that can't be a coincidence, right?

I've been wondering if the reason they're mad that we weren't there for the hour of joy is less that we were supposed to die to, but instead that we were going to survive and meant to be who leads the children out of Playcare (hence our guilt in not being there,) and because of it the children ended up dying because we weren't there since it's been 10 years. The fact we were supposed to survive is why there are messages that we just leave, but journeying too far in forces each toy's hand. I also think that neither Poppy nor the Prototype are the good guy. Poppy is too suspicious, but those working for the prototype have done too much wrong to their fellow toys to be some kind of savior too

It seems like 1006, The Prototype, uses "the hunger"/"the emptiness inside that needs to be filled" to manipulate all the toys for whatever reason it has. Whatever "the howling" is, its deeply related to that need to be filled with _something._ It's obviously not actual food - there are tons of vending machines full of all kinds of food throughout the factory. Why it seems to be satiated by devouring not just humans, but also the hybrid toys, is unexplained as far as I'm aware, but it _does_ seem to do something for them. We probably won't have a clear answer until we actually see The Prototype in person. That said, a lot of what we know The Prototype to be thinking is found in the post-death screens when it tells us to "Get Up". We know that it's 1006 and not Poppy due to the fact that they begin immediately, before Poppy is even released, and because "Get Up" is the one thing we know for sure it says, repeatedly, and not just to us. So we can assume being some kind of "sacrifice" is a major reason we're even here to begin with, and our purpose for being here outside of that is somehow related to interacting directly with 1006 since it keeps telling us that we "can't die yet". It wants us to die, just not until we've done what it wants us to do.

21:31 yeah - I think this is CatNap’s old holding cell. In the video, he was told that other than when he was released to administer red gas to the kids that “this prison is your life now - get used to it”. Beneath the cell, through the opening in the floor, there is a giant (cat?) bed with pillows strewn about, the candles, and the toys strung up above it. These are his new digs. Really good visual storytelling - as it shows how CatNap’s quality of life improved at the hands of the prototype. At some point the cell was destroyed - likely during or after the hour of joy - and in the aftermath CatNap was given the run of PlayCare and made himself comfortable. …I feel very sad for Theo. Not only was he turned into a toy, he seemed to be more purposefully isolated than other toys we’ve met from the Bigger Bodies Initiative…probably due to his hostility. At least Mommy Long Legs got to play with the kids in the station all the time. The way they locked him away made having the run of a giant metal dome with a fake sky seem like real freedom by comparison.

I can't explain how it all fits together but the reason Miss Delights and the others were locked in was likely a manipulation tactic in order to make whoever remains more likely to work with CatNap. He creates a situation where they have to do this terrible thing in order to survive which creates a sense of guilt and a need to move forward in the victim as otherwise their act would have been pointless. This makes them more likely to work with CatNap as they are more willing to do whatever it takes to survive, even if it's working for the person who caused the act in the first place.

Sad when Dog day slows down when he gets close as if trying to not attack. Horrifying to think he was still alive and didn't really die till they stopped eating away at him bit by bit... I like the detail that all the cardboard cut outs tell what happened before they died, or how they died. Since Dogday's cut out tells us we need to go and we can't stay, like he did before he was turned into a puppet, I think it's safe to assume that the others tell they also died doing what they loved. He tried to encourage your escape before the encouragement turned to horror but either way he was the motivational one. The scream was even the same...Based on that, it's terrible to thing that the Pig was possibly forced to eat her friends that died before her. That would explain why she didn't mention a cat, dog, or bear. And Fun fact: A kicken chicken is meant to describe a chicken, or someone, that thrashes around after being knocked out supposedly. Like when farmers put a chicken down but it keeps moving.

Of all the Smiling Critter Cut-Outs we have come across so, Bobby Bearhug , Picky Piggy, and Crafty Corn are the only ones who dont have a clear death scream, so they probably lived the longest, at it could be entirely possible that Piggy and Bearhug could still be around. I know its stated by Dogday that he's the last besides Catnap, but the fact that Bearhug and Piggy dont have a death scream, might mean they survived and are somewhere else in PlayTime. Crafty is probably dead, despite it being implied that she wrote the notes and drew the big poppy flower, Piggy's cut out definitely implies Piggy ate her. But, Bearhug, Bobby is never implied to have died other than by Dogday, so she could still be lurking. I could be completely wrong though, they should have included the corpses of the other Bigger Bodies Smiling Critters strewn around for this episode, squirrelled away in corners or just laying as visual story telling.

THEORY: What if the text we get at the death screens isn't poppy, but lines from the past? What if they are meant to give us a deeper understanding of the character? Clearly, we are playing as an ex-employee to Play Time Co. My theory is that when the player character worked there they weren't a very good employee and maybe got fired from PTC. This makes sense because 1. We aren't dead, 2. We don't know what happened with the hour of joy. If we were an employee who could escape the hour of joy then we would have known what happened to the other people and kids. But we are alive and we don't know what happened. I thought the text we get at death screens are things we used to hear frequently at the factory because we were bad employees. Get up, might be referring to us maybe forgetting to put the gas mask on (Like a bad employee) And the line that really drives this theory is 'The body is still fresh" Line. It makes sense that this is something you would've heard working for a company that actively killed children and used them as toys. I know there is probably other evidence to back this up. I think it's an interesting thought. Most of the text you get wouldn't make sense just coming from Poppy.

I don't know if anybody pointed that out brfore but in the first hallucination where we wonder the strange mansion one of the radios was repeating "GET UP" in a voice that I personally would expect from someone like "The Prototype". Maybe we were supposed to participate in the Hour of Joy but instead of helping Toys to make a massacre we escaped, all alone, leaving everyone behind in favour of our own survival? That may explain the guilt the writings (more like scratches) on the floor were talking about.
