Absolutely love it. Also, when painting the little items such as the handles, you can also use foam board as opposed to putty or clay.

It turned out beautiful! We used this same set a couple years ago and painted it white with stainless steal appliances! I also used scrapbook paper for "tile backsplash." it was such a fun project and our little Granddaughter loved her surprise Barbie house we made over!

That air dry trick is really clever! It would be great for painting those teeny tiny Barbie shoes. I might try it with mounting putty though which doesn't dry out.

A good tip to seal the spray paint & keep it from chipping so quickly is to use Mr. Super Clear. It’s a great sealant.

I always love the cute background stickers, but that's because I like my things to be a bit child like. Definitly like the idea of painting some parts something other than pink. My Barbie kitchen was not pink but orange and brown. That was early 80s. Later things turnes pink and never went back.

This came out fabulous!! I spray painted a similar kitchen last year and it did NOT come out as nice as yours!! I had never spray painted before so there was a learning curve.

There is a special spray paint you use for plastic so that you don't have to sand or use a primer, but they might not have the color you want.

absolutely amazing! touchups on spray paint is best done by spraying the same spray into a cup and using that paint with a brush. Then it fits both the color and the texture.

This is a terrific video. I had no idea you could even buy a kitchen set for Barbie. Hate the pink. I probably would have been repainting this already if i HAD known, but now i can see how to take it apart, so I'm glad to see this. Spray paint and i are old friends. For those little handles, when I've had similar things to spray paint, I just use packing foam (you know, the stuff that TVs and other things are packed with in order to keep them from shifting in the box) and stick the little handles straight into the foam.

For touch-up I spray some of the spray paint into the paints lid, or onto a scrap piece of plastic or paper plate. Hold the paint close when you spray it so it puddles. Then dip a brush into the paint and do your touch-ups

I love your energy and personality. 😂 ❤ Oh and why do companies think every girl wants pink to throw up over everything? I am a lady and my favorite color is green. Colors are not dictated by someone's gender. My brother likes pink and purple and he's a straight guy with two kids. My mom loved blue. I don't even know where people got the idea that certain colors are for certain genders. It's very sick and abusive. People should be able to have their choice. Pink reminds me of my stomach issues. Sometimes carefully using a hair dryer (don't let it melt your plastic) can cause a sticker to just completely pop off on its own.

I was surprised that you didn’t seal the spray paint. Do you not get paint wearing off in the drawers or the hinges on the doors? You are very patient. I love this but not sure I have the patience to try it.

If you use a hair dryer on low heat, it will remove the stickers very easily
