Did you scuff the paint man before application?

I just put poppy’s on my old f100 what should I do to protect the clear coat because it is a daily driver and it sits in the sun a lot

After about a month or so since applying the clear coat I would highly recommend using something like turtle wax ceramic coating spray. You can pick it up at your local AutoZone

How do you avoid wipe lines? I dud this one my 87 (same color) and it didnt self level. Maybe i mixed too much catalyst?

From what I’ve noticed when doing it, the only time I ever find it being streaky is if I run back through it after it’s started to get tacky. If it’s started to get tacky which it does quickly, and you run back through it, it does streak. Do small spots at a time so you can catch something before it get tacky and you’ll find a beautiful finish!

I’ve got a 1976 Chevy Itasca RV on a Chevy p20 chasis, the system is a 350tbi. After I got a new alternator put in my gages spin crazily, they ALL spin besides the battery gage one I’ve noticed. I’ve gotten it looked at by 2 mechanics and the wiring is fine according to them, they say it’s the cluster panel itself but I struggle to understand that as they were working perfectly fine before the new alternator. Also there’s a green wire, it was connected to something then I discovered it burned off at the end. I also noticed there’s two green wires coming from the headlight switch if that matters at all, dark green and light green. At this point I’m wanting to check it all out myself, do you have any advice?

The factory gauges are hard to get working correctly. My squarebody gauges went haywire after I rewired the truck and never worked right. I went with Dakota digital. They by far make the best aftermarket system for the Chevrolets. The factory gauges may have been on their way out and the new alternator just finished them off. I’m not 100 percent sure obviously without being around it Or seeing it but my advice would be to go Dakota digital if the gauges aren’t working
