It’s not just Krefeld at this point. TBH, I feel like aside from Berlin, I feel like the most hard-hit cities during WWII in Germany where those in the Rhineland region, those cities were destroyed near the same scale as Tokyo or Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan, and thus retain so much fewer of their original architecture than those in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, or even those in Czechia and Austria. Such a loss 😢

I was there 22 yr ago, two times . It was beautiful and peaceful, clean. Now after 22 yrs 3 week back , i went to see krefeld for old time sack , it was too bad , i cant believe. Roads are in bad conditions , not so clean , mosquito, flys etc. i was very disappointed . In ost wall hardly germans to be seen😢 public transport is bad also very bad . Junky are hanging around .

When I started recording many videos in 2019 it was mostly Europe and some Asia. Not much travel was happening in 2020-22 for known reasons though I spent some years in North and South America before to where I should return sometime soon. Love Brazil! However, Japan and South Korea are currently higher on my revisiting so I'll see when that works out budget-wise. I still have some 90 walks left to post from the last year(s) and some Europe travel planned for the summer. Thanks for watching

In der Tat gibt es touristisch attraktivere Städte. Interessant ist für mich, dass hier Krefeld mehr Zuschauer gewinnt als bspw. Split oder selbst Lund, die sicher interessanter aussehen. Ich filmte auch Duisburg und Gera, die kaum von Touristen besucht werden. Für einige Orte ist es wohl interessanter, einen Eindruck hier nur über die Videos zu gewinnen.

Die Stadt ist nicht hässlich. Die besuchten Gegenden sind vllt nicht die schönsten. Krefeld hat sehr viel potenzial

Potential...Wo denn?...als Krefelder habe ich über viele Jahre nur Verfall und Sterben in Krefeld registriert. Einen toten Gaul kann man nicht mehr reiten...ja..es gibt hier und da Bemühungen etwas zu verändern. Krefeld war mal schön und lebenswert..mit tollem Nachtleben, super Geschäften, Gastronomie in den Außenbereichen...war mal.

@@uncle.d. Bestimmt nicht die Innenstadt. Überall Leerständige, dreckige Straßen. Ansonsten viel zuviele Ramschläden. Du redest wohl von Linn, Bockum oder Fischeln. Das wäre ein separates Video, finde ich.

@@joshi1867nein. Ich meine auch die Innenstadt. Die stadtstruktur, der Grundriss mit den begrünten Wällen birgt ein Riesen potenzial den man nur erkennen und entwickeln muss. Ich freu mich schon wenn der westwall umgestaltet wird, das parkraumkonzept umgesetzt wird und die Wälle als Einbahnstraßen nur entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn gestaltet wird- was ja geplant ist. Klar momentan sieht es in der City nicht überall schön aus, aber mit den kleinen Gassen und den vielen plätzen bestünde die Möglichkeit das Krefelder Zentrum weit voran zu bringen, Beispiel wie in Münster. Die ganzen Viertel rund um die City, west- und Südstadt sowie kronprinzenviertel müssen auch dringend Restrukturiert und überplant werden (Grünstreifen, weniger Parkplätze, Stadtbäume). Wenn das alles umgesetzt wird könnte Krefeld eine der schönsten Städte in nrw werden

it´s only the city... Krefeld is more than the city (and yes, it is not beautiful... but also not very ugly... it is just a city center, nothing special, but ok). If you like to see the real Krefeld (without so much arabs and other foreigners) you have to go to Hüls, Bockum, Traar, Fischeln... but the city is already taken over... sad, but true - but you will also find headscarf wearer there... everywhere...)
