Hi Friends, Welcome to my channel. .. This is a quick review of the Ikea Holmsund Sofa bed.
12/2021…My mom is currently here and is sleeping on this sofa bed. I added additional padding to the sofa and its great. She loves it. Link down below on what I bought from Amazon.
Pros:
Multi functional
Easy mechanism
Affordable
Looks great
Washable fabric
Sofa bed
Cons:
Needs two people to put together.
Has to be disassembled to wash fabric.
Firm seats. Maybe uncomfortable for most people.

Is there a gap between backrest and seat?

Hi there, thanks for this video! Yours is the only one I could find for the Holmsund three-seat model. I was wondering if you found it tricky to get the long and thin metal pieces into that groove for the side pieces and if you have any tips for that. I've been having an impossible time getting them in there

Yes I had problems with the left side of the sofa. I just took my time and hammered it into place because pushing it did not work. When I take it apart.. I’ll record the process. Hopefully I won’t have any issues.

@@tashareane thanks! I didn't realize those were actually the hex keys used for the assembly until I watched your video 😅 I bought the sofa second hand. Will try hammering them in.

It really depends on my circumstances… its great for someone who needs a sofa bed with storage with minimal space. I have no regrets with buying this sofa… but I did test it out before buying…so I knew what I was getting myself into. I would definitely buy it again… but it don’t see the reasoning why… Ikea products are good quality. 😊

How is the sofa holding up? I have been eyeing it, but I have a 3years old boy and I don't want to be spending over $1200 for a couch. My current couch was $2,000 but it started to fall apart in less than 6 months of my son being the one using it most of the time to watch tv (horrible quality couch).

Sofa is great... I have a 16 year old so I know what you are talking. For me its easy to clean, which is a plus. As for comfort... It is a futon like sofa, so keep that in mind when you really decide to purchase. I mainly brought it for when my mom comes to visit its great as an extra bed. And the storage is a bonus.

Of course, I like it because you can easily take it apart and put it back together at your new place. And it easy to clean. It’s perfect.
