Now usually i'm not one to defend Jennie, but this scene was perfectly acted. Yall who are hating don't understand the CONTEXT behind her emotions. She's not just 'neutral' or just 'nodding' or wtv, she's excited, she feels guilty, she feels anxiety, nervousness, gratitude, overwhelmed, and so much more. ONLY bc of the context. Her best friend is a singer and she's a backup dancer who also likes to sing. The company was getting fed up with her and decided to go after Dyanne (Jennie) because she's not as much of a 'hassle' to deal with. Dyanne (Jennie) really wants to become an idol but she also wants to keep her best friend. 'World class sinner' was supposed to be her friend's comeback. She also feels bad because this was originally her friend's dream, and her friend has been through a lot and she knows her friend should be the one with all of this. She also did this behind her friend's back.

i didnt watch the show- just youtubers watching it and basically her character is a backup dancer for a really famous singer (MC) who’s going through a very bad mental breakdown over the death of her mom and getting mixed up with the weeknd’s weird character. and during this time someone grabs jennie’s character who is close friends with MC and are like hey can you… sing? and basically as MC was going through this really hard time the company gave Jennie’s character the song the MC had been practicing and filming and even rewriting (poorly) cause she’s such a perfectionist. so Jennie’s character is currently Guilty for taking someone’s song but also really happy for finally having this opportunity for herself. But also guilty cause she’s in cohots with the weeknd and kinda hoped their evil plan would work and she’d get this record deal. personally i think the rage of emotions she’s showing in this scene fit this but if you’re not familiar with what’s going on you’d prolly think she’s trying to poop

"Natural" is so misleading for many girls, it can make them feel like they're not naturally born gifted so they can't be as shiny as Jennie, which isn't true at all, anyone can have an opportunity if they try hard. The idea of "natural" talent hurts young ppl's self-esteem in a misleading way
