pretty disappointing. leaving all that big fillings uncovered. for a long term success a veneer should always end in enamel. the prep is also way to invasive. no need for it with todays ceramic.

Becuz that is the "pre-formed" kit burs. But the patient's teeth are not "pre-formed", they varies a lot. If you are a well-experienced dentist, you won't need this prep kit.

It was pretty clear that some of those fillings were so extensive that ending the veneer in enamel would have been impossible. Veneers were a poor choice here. Should have gone full coverage crowns, it would have given far better long term protection and the additional preparation would have been fairly minimal and easily tolerable given the extent of some of those fillings. Small trade-off for bigger benefits

Yes, i also don't like this type of restoration which only concentrates on esthetic and throwing away functional efficiency. But I think it will be useful if patient have severe fluorosis.
