Porcellio Expansus is still the King of Isopods for me! But holy cow, those porcellio Magnificus are HUGE and bold. Very simple, but beautiful!

Thanks Liz (shhhhhh, I think the big E's are a notch higher than the mags too). This Friday I'll be showing off one more that I think is higher (for me) than these two. Maybe..... or maybe I will do a Hoff showoff as I have not done a video on them yet.

Great video, they are beautiful. My favorite are Dairy cows. They are always climbing on me, and I have tons of babies. Second are zebra's. Thank you for the help with them. I keep a large area dry and I have babies. I have close to 40 babies. It is very exciting.

Well, you could keep them separate. Or, design the enclosure with a corner that has some area where you could have dwarf whites or giant canyons that burrow.

What temp do you keep these guys at? These guys are tough to keep and I got multiple colonies at once (big mistake) I got lucky and saved a few but I think I lost my canare colony so lesson learned one colony at a time and wait for them to properly develop but yeah

Man, fluked onto your video, and as a budding isopod keeper (very garden variety porcellio scaber for now) this helps a bunch. I've noticed that they love a decent chunk of moss to nibble and hide and get all amongst, but may I ask about your egg cartons? Is that for food, for hiding? They seem to be into it, but what's the purpose of it?

The egg cartons are for hiding. Some species like their own hiding space and this accommodate their needs. This is only for a very select # of isopod species. I don't have egg cartons in all my enclosures.

I check for some wild armadillidiums often (I'll get 'em eventually!), but I'd like three or four tubs of some medium-maintenance species. Any help or input is super appreciated!
