Good job. You forgot to use a level to make sure were plum, but because they don't support much weight, not a big deal.

You’re right @joaquin I should’ve done that. I could see where the previous posts sat and put these in the same spot but no telling if the original builder put them in plumb. Thanks for watching!

A bag of concrete for 3 and 1/2 bucks? And this was only 8 months ago? Ooh you are lucky. Or else it was a small bag. That looks like a nice flag you have there all stitch together not just printed

@@DirtRoadLife1 I don't know I thought I got a pretty good deal a couple summers ago for like five bucks a bag but when I was looking online the next summer in other words last summer it was crazy ridiculous like maybe because of the pandemic. So I'm just using what I have not going crazy on any basement repair projects just the big holes haha.. I bought it at Lowe's and I think it was the N type I still have a bag of s mortar which I don't use a whole lot of.

@@DirtRoadLife1 oh by the way I don't own a Jack and I do have one of those pillars that you used to support a beam in the basement it's still in the box so I might try to use that the thing is the railings are in the way I don't even know where to start but I was encouraged by the fact that you said you did some of it without an extra pair of hands like when you put that t-bar brace thing to support the roof my roof is a little bit bigger than that one but anyway it's just not a job I'm looking forward to I did it in 2007 and of course those bases rotted out I think they were pine but I didn't know any better then. But I know enough to know that I wouldn't waste my money hiring anybody to do anything again haha. Especially if that person is like a cousin or some relative 🤣 as far as the railings go I put those together myself they're all in one piece and they're kind of tricky to fit them in between the two pillars so I don't know I'm not looking forward to that part like I said.
