I just started playing this game on console (xbox) and i love it lol im no where near knowledgeable to the game but im on day 53 and doing well i think lol my question is i havent made a motor due to the fact i constantly see people making them and that they are super slow in comparison to just using a regular sail although i think are slower but not by much. Did they make an update to make the motors faster or are they stilll pretty slow. Cuz i dont see a reason so make a motor and use all those resources for something that will only get me to an island a slight bit faster lol but then again idk you tell me

No they haven't . About the only real purpose, is if you want to fly.

@@KellysMind dang. Well I have literally all the parts for a motor several actually lol and a gyrocopter but haven't felt the need due to seeing others online. But as far as end game are they needed? Sorry again super new and just started playing this week

I usually take all the thinks I don't need put them in crates then toss them in the deep end of the ocean so all those items don't lag down the game
