Something I read, a year or two ago, is that ore spawning locations are semi-randomised-- in that there are fixed locations ores can spawn, and on different loads (either loading a save, or loading an area if you've been far enough away and come back) the game will spawn ore in to one of those possible locations. But resources are, so I've read, finite, so you can eventually use up everything in the world, but this is why you'll think you've tapped out an area, only to come back and find a "new" piece of ore. It's not new, it was just in a spot you didn't notice before and has now switched to a spot where it's more easily visible.

I believe they updated the batteries so if U craft a power cell & a tool that uses a battery, it needs to start out charged.

Didn't mention the sunken islands fragments.

10:07 The other neat thing about this wreck is I believe you can get the Cyclops thermal reactor module from the databox hidden directly underneath the cargobay doors in the sand. 11:32 Something to note about this alien cache: DO NOT drive your Seamoth into the cave. I did that once and a sandshark that was hiding in there pushed my Seamoth into the terrain and destroyed it. I know it can be nerve-wracking to leave it out in the open water of the crater, but your Seamoth is in more danger inside the cave.

Thank you for making this video, @GrandaddyGamer, I think it may be exactly what I need and I'm definitely going to try it out right away. 👍 When I started my first playthrough just last night, I put one point into each of the five categories and the last two into Cool because I anticipated being somewhat weak to begin with, so I thought focusing on being sneaky and able to take out enemies in a covert manner would be helpful, but I quickly got the feeling that focusing on Cool attributes early on might not be the most effective way to go about things, so I ran a search for builds and found this video. I also wasn't sure how many attributes and perks I would have available in the game, so I felt I had to put everything into one or two trees in order to become as effective as possible (in most games spreading out your assets puts you at a disadvantage). Somewhat annoying because there are perks in at least 3, and maybe 4, trees that I think I'll need to make V the best he can be in the game. I'll be looking forward to watching more of your content.

Holy shit, I've been passing by the Dunes without knowing that certain death lurks there. I'm still new to the game even though I've seen tons videos of it in the past.

By experience, stick close to the bottom in the dunes and they should be less likely to notice you A small tip for the mountains: when approacing the biome, stick to the left of the islans as it is the safer route and unlike the dune stay close to surface unless you want to deal with warpers. Once you descend to the northern region, stick to the bottom again

I don’t like the bulkiness of the cyclops either. Was going to try a smaller modded vehicle( the phantom) but was disappointed to find it requires kyanite. So can’t use it as early as I like. So this video is helpful for me to see about taking the prawn down.

As of 2024 this guide is not accurate the drop pod can drop in different spots so this can throw off some players mine was Southwest West of my drop POD at exactly 164m

large rooms extend the alien containment by about 2-3 metres so if you want more space in the tank

I bought the 3x3 room and set up auto crafters for 1 thing at a time and then another massive storage area where the first floor is one of everything and all the upper floors are extra space and a dump storage next to it and honestly, if I could live like this in real life, the only problem I would have is the trade rocket doesn't give you books

The bulb zone is literally so comfortable to fit through the Blood kelp trench or any blood kelp biome always gives me the feeling of uncomfortableness not because its scary but the plants and crab squids just make me eouggnfnjfjejejsiq

Pleasant Valley in a fog and you completely losing direction was so scary! And then knowing you missed the farmhouse by just a margin. I’m glad you followed those lines back!

Ive always been horrified of the dunes, because I thought it would be murky and I wouldnt be able to see anything. It actually doesnt look that bad in this video, but I couldnt deal with all the reapers...

Got lost trying to get to the inactive lava zone. I must have boosted right over the hole without seeing it.

I explored the game completly on my first playthough blind without knowing anything. Didn't even know that one could built bases until at keast 10h in. Never found the stasis gun. Took for ever to complete the game. Was maybe the best gaming experience of my long gaming life.

Nah the dunes are chill, I always get my cuddle fish there, totally not because it's the only one I know how to find or anything of the sort, I also got some prawn arms there
