I stopped for a second to think again, how can you be so accurate with the timing and then i remembered that you said that you use an ear bug to keep track of the song on your left ear then i stopped again to think, how can you keep track of original timing at the same time that you are interpreting the vocals and guitars with your hands, amazing job again man. I enjoy it so much singing it on top of it. lovely arrangment

Thanks so much Renzo!! It’s a long process of working out the music with what’s physically playable, then drilling until the muscle memory is pretty much there for hitting the notes, and last stage is playing with the actual song and getting it on time with the click track I overlay with the music. From starting the notation to completion, this one was about 6 months. 😅

So glad I stumbled across this. Impressive work and interpretation it must have taken ages to deconstruct this. The most I can manage as a prog piano cover is something sweet and simple like Leprous’ Castaway Angel’s.

@@davidgrube4188 I start with working off guitar tabs translating to sheet music and that's usually a pretty good source, then go through by ear for any corrections. Then it's working out what's actually playable on the piano.
