Most surprisingly, I still haven't stopped having those moments, even after I'm sure I have scoured through everything.

Little retrograde, wonder where you are Another motorcade, under radar A boy in borrowed clothes, knows he is a girl Shards of light come down, stillness in the air Big sleeper, your deeper, too deep for me yeah Speak clearer, can't hear you, I'm going under On the mountain side, hold me in your gaze But it's over now, cos I got kids to raise

I can still vividly remember where I was and at what time, when I heard this song the first time and 3:21 kicked in. An amazing piece of work. (For the record, the place was a highway ramp in southern France, the time was late summer, on a Sunday =P).

Amazing bass solo at the end, sounds like a fretlless bass , maybe a pedula buzz bass
@basscom775 жыл бұрын
pretty sure it's also backwards bass
@bschoner4 жыл бұрын
It’s a fretless, not backwards. Probably a Wal, which Colin Edwin is known to use. (I’d use one too if they didn’t cost $15K these days...)

Is Gavin or Chris playing in this song? The obvious answer would be Gavin but this song was written by Steven and Chris so I don't know.

Steven wilson's Tool influences are pretty obvious in this song. Rhythm is almost identical to Tool's Reflection
@jodo63299 жыл бұрын
I would say he emulated Tool here

I would rather say that Sheltering Sky by King Crimson inspired both.
