Seven Wilson does Atom Heart Mother suite,2023 Atmos style at shows like the Floyd did with their 360deg sound, with the Wilson, perhaps Gilmore,he would be up for it or Saucerfull of Secrets.what joy to hear them again.

A great tribute to Pink Floyd by Steve Wilson. . The very first light show behind Floyd was done by Mark Leonard at Hornsey College of Art. (where he was a student). He was probably influenced (and maybe even taught) by Mark Boyles. Both worked with Floyd. In 1966 Floyd lived with Leonard in his flat in Crouch End.

I can't really help but notice the guitar (In the beginning) in the song sounds extremely similar to Pink Floyd's song(s) "Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2." Other than that, this is very beautiful and Ed is very good at what he is doing. I love the songs, so mind-blowing and honestly beautiful to see and hear. Cheers :)

Amusing and interesting how the people commenting on this do not realise the spoken word part comes from an ANTI lsd propaganda record released in the 60s to warn young people about the downside of the psychedelic experience and the potential risks, and the guy 'Brian' in the original recording is having a bad trip while eventually being very optimistic and confident and even a bit cocky about taking drugs and tripping on acid.... Not to bum you out, enjoy the ride as it comes, but that is what this album is about. Not some 'tribute' to the groovy days or Pink Floyd or whatever (allthough the wink to The Wall, another concept album about going baaaaad, is obvious) Read Steve's comments about it, and read up on the source material folks! But the visuals are beautiful. Nothing that hasnt been done for almost 60 years, but still pretty cool and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing!

@edsamazing8 жыл бұрын
You could use a beamer to project this video :). Apart from that, no, I don't think so, not like this. There are some devices that use a "liquid dia" (flat rectangular transparent container, holding water and oils) to project a lavalamp-like image, but they aren't very good (not a lot of light, images not even close to this video).

With a camera ;). For this video we simply used an overhead projector to project on a projection screen and filmed that with a DSLR camera. Another possibility is to film the dish with liquids directly, but you need a backlight beneath the the liquids for that (like a LED pad).

really amazing work. not trying to pry, but was curious as to what projector you were using? I've been struggling with getting a crisp/bright enough image while doing live shows. Do you use an overhead HD camera into a digital projector? Resources on this stuff are pretty limited, so I've been trying to piece together different techniques however I can.
@edsamazing4 жыл бұрын
Meg Judy , thanks! For this video we used an old school overhead projector. These days we use a digital camera + beamer for live shows. You will need something that emits light underneath your liquids though. We made our own LiquidLightBox (tm), but you can try several things yourself. Experiment :)

I don't like that the camera is moving around. They should just set the camera on a tripod and let the liquid projections speak for themselves. I am watching it w/ sound shut off and different music playing.
@edsamazing2 жыл бұрын
The camera is stationary, the glass (holding the liquid) is moving. We do this to manipulate the fluids to make it more dynamic. If you prefer less motion (a different technique), try some of our other videos like Liquid Light show 1 and 4 or the Ludovici Einaudi - Rose music video.
