All that pork fan in the bottom of the first pan. Mix that with honey,bbq sauce and lemon juice. Then pour that on the burnt ends for the next cooking. Yum.

My girlfriend and I want to make these but she has a tomato allergy :( so we cannot use bbq sauce… any substitutes or ideas? Thinking of using a HOT honey, but probably need more sauce than just that! Also love your videos and seasonings! Been using them since getting a smoker 2 years ago!

This is a pork belly without skin. It's just meat and fat. Won't be any crispy/burnt anything other than just standard bark. Here in Texas skin on pork belly isn't as easy to find. Normally it's an, "ask your butcher" type of deal.

What temperature did you Cook the pork belly at and how long?

250F for 3 1/2h. Remove and place in aluminum plate and add sauce. Another 30 min to 1h. Done.

Absolutely. Smokers are just smokey ovens. And oven can be used. It just won’t taste as smokey.

4 hours is just a waste of resources. That's pork belly (Liempo in tagalog). Just bbq em for 25 mins and you'll get the same satisfaction minus 3:30 hrs of waiting, not to mention the wood/fuel used.
