Shannon Chin it’s not a stupid question doll...honestly I prefer the bigger ones only because they ARE BIGGER lol that means I only need a few and done!!! Flavor wise they’re both very very similar. @@evanflynn9987 , I like some heat, and determined that I like the long cooked sauce better. For 4 lbs pork, I use 15 to 18 roasted tomatillos, 12 to 15 Anaheims (roasted, peeled and seeded), 2 roasted serranos with seeds, 2 roasted jalapenos without seeds, 2 1/2 roasted whilte onions, 4 cloves chopped garlic, and lots of cilantro all in food processor. Add garlic powder, cumin, corriander, Mexican oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer 1 1/2 hours with 1 qt. Chicken stock , add roux made with 1/4 cup avocado oil and 1/ 4 cup masa.

How do I get the onion flavor in the meat without adding pieces of onion in the skillet?. My family do not like to bite into onion. Can I add raw onion to the blender along with the chilies, or do I boil it with the chilies than add it to the blender? Definitely going to try this recipe!!

Mary Castillo yes add it to the salsa mix and blend right along w it 😉 depends if you want more of the onion flavor add it raw... if not boil it for a less strong onion flavor. Either way it will be as delicious.

When I cook this on the stove top my meat comes out tough.. when I use the slow cooker the meat is good.. I usually brown the meat and throw it in the slow cooker along with my salsa, however I usually roast all my veggies and then make my salsa, but you mentioned in your video, that the veggies are cooked and dont want to burn out any flavor. So I'm wondering , am I burning out flavor by roasting my veggies, blending it down and slow cooking for 6 hours? To me it tastes good but idk lol would love some feedback

By roasting the salsa ingredients, you actually bring out MORE flavor. Boiling, boils the flavor, roast makes it nutty, smoky.

Matthew Ramirez cooking it on the stovetop makes it cook a lil quicker...HOWEVER you need to cook this a bit slower. For it to work on the stovetop you have to add water about 1 hr and a half in... so that it continues to cook long enough for the meat to be tender. I NEVER add my salsa right away. I feel like the salsa keeps more of the flavor when added towards the end. Just let it simmer WITH the meat for no kore than 20 mins at most. Try my way and see you if like it. Keep me posted 😉 thanks for watching. Hope this answers your questions.

Can you tell me if this freezes well? I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I'm looking at food to meal prep and freeze to thaw out and reheat after baby gets here.

Natalie Calhoun I’ve never froze this recipe...so I’m not sure. I’d give it a try at least you’d know if it does freeze well for future freezer meal prep 😉 let me know how it works out.
