@@psychopathicporo I wonder how you could possibly come to this conclusion when they lane swapped like every game in finals. Junglers were pretty much full clearing and Xun was the main reason they lost the first two games is it not? He got caught first game near baron and that snowballed GenG into being able to fully scale. Then game two BLG lost all their tempo that they invested into mid against Chovy because Xun got hooked twice by Lehends in the same spot. So tell me which three games did Xun play better in the finals because I’m confused. The third game sure.

same with FNC, G2, and FLY bias, why are both teams players so high up? Noah anything but D tier makes no sense. Hans, Humanoid, Razork, and Oscar being B tier (the same tier as Peyz and Betty) when they were all gapped when vsing strong teams. Busio being C tier even after running it basically every game he played even when even Woody is D tier. I think the thing I disagree most is with the adc tiering; this MSI had the best adc's from LCK, LPL and LEC (well except viper) Guma had a definitive S-tier showing, and Elk dominated enough games to warrant S-tier too, And you can say peyz had some games where Elk abused him but you don't drop an international record number of kills at MSI finals and go B tier Then I'd put Jackey, hans and Yeon up by 1 tier too
@lennartspdrn966
@lennartspdrn966 8 ай бұрын
I can agree with Poro, because I've seen Guma and Elk perform way better at the last two internationals they attended. I question how you ignore Poro explaining how the amount of Peyz kills didn't correlate to a great performance, which was very reasonably argued. You say it like it's the law, biggest number equals the best. Poro stated he values play differently.

Not to take away from PSG, I’d actually keep them in B and just move TL ahead of them. No one respected them coming in, and they showed up hard. Awesome video, but I think it's kinda crazy that PSG gets to be a whole tier above TL and FNC because they managed take 2 games off of BLG who giga-threw in both those games. The fact that PSG did lose a BO3 against FLY and got 3-0'd by G2 makes me think they should share C tier with TL and FNC imo. I also find it amusing how much higher the individuals of FNC are placed than TL on average, but I guess that just shows how FNC was worse than the sum of its parts (TL being the complete opposite).
@psychopathicporo
@psychopathicporo 8 ай бұрын
While PSG did lose their first series to FLY, how it happened was quite impressive. It felt like PSG came in as the worse team, got thwarted by Bwipo's Urgot, and they had no answer on the day. Then for the second series, they went back to the drawing board and came up with answers for how to deal with FLY's champs, and executed much cleaner. For me, showing the ability to adapt in draft over time is definitely a positive, and PSG felt like a completely different team by the time they played in bracket stage

You probably don’t even know that he’s by far the smartest with lane swapping assignments and can leverage tempo the best out of any adc at the tournament. Everyone on GenG has their own voice. Chovy makes the macro calls but all the micro calls are based on each player. We saw this when Peyz calls for level 1 late invade on Kalista or Lehends locking Annie against everyone’s wishes. Each member on the team has their own input and I believe Peyz was part of how to navigate swaps in different situations. The team has to ask him how bot lane matchup changes based on level so he will have input no matter what.
@gregpartridge7554
@gregpartridge7554 8 ай бұрын
@@wandringhobo4321 Ok but lane swapping isn't an individual micro call, it's a macro call that requires team coordination and we don't know for sure who made each call. So it's not a failure of analysis, other people are going to come to different conclusions if they don't share your belief that Peyz was the one making those decisions.
@wandringhobo4321
@wandringhobo4321 8 ай бұрын
@@gregpartridge7554 I find it hard to believe anyone on GenG other than Peyz/Lehends would be calling back for swap especially in the Lucian game where the botlane would know best how the matchup changes after level 3. Sure you can say it's a team macro decision but ultimately the team can only decide what to do based on what their botlane tells them. Kiin isn't going to order the botlane to swap back because he can't unless they say they can.

@Griffin그리핀

Example is that you talk about GenG didn’t get put into a separate tier even though their record is 6-2 against BLG since you considered them close and even said there is a world BLG went 3-0 over GenG. Then you later say that TES stays in A tier because they did well against other teams REGARDLESS of their score which seems to counter your other argument especially when PSG also took BLG to game 5 and up until game 5 PSG also looked like they could have 3-0 BLG. During their first match up. Also both TES and PSG got 3-0 by G2. Both if anything should be in the same tier. The logic seems to not line up especially when you look at both teams through the same point.
@psychopathicporo
@psychopathicporo 8 ай бұрын
@@Griffin그리핀 I don't see how this is contradictory in any way "Despite GEN going 6-2 against BLG, I don't think the teams actually had a big enough gap in actual game performance to warrant putting them in separate tiers" "Despite TES losing to G2 0-3, I don't think the teams actually had a big enough gap in actual game performance to warrant putting them in separate tiers." "Despite PSG getting 3-0d by G2, I don't think that's enough to discredit their otherwise fantastic tournament run, which is why I put them above a lot of other teams." How is any of this unfair? The entire point I'm making with all of these is that you have to look past gamescore and see what the teams are actually doing

@@psychopathicporo the point is more so on how you justify TES placement over PSG. When especially considering how both teams played against the LCS teams
@psychopathicporo
@psychopathicporo 8 ай бұрын
@@Griffin그리핀 I mean personally I don't even consider those teams being anywhere near the realms of each other, I never even considered the possibility of putting PSG over TES. Maple and Woody are clearly a cut below the other players in that discussion, and G2 played significantly better games against TES than against PSG. Hans had a complete legacy performance against TES when he was usually their weakest performing member, whereas PSG was pretty outclassed against G2 in top, mid, and support and it never felt close apart from game 1. We never got PSG vs TES directly, but what we HAVE gotten is seeing three of PSG's players play in the LPL, and it never looked very pretty for them there (not a great metric to use, but contextually it helps). Overall, I just don't see where PSG actually beats TES. All three lanes are worse, and jungle is fairly split for the most part.
