@@peteshobbies5383 definitely sprays ultra flat uses just a tiny tiny schoshe more or air than the kiwami I'm happy with it the spray fan is quite bigger than the kiwami which was what I was looking for

@myblkz Hi Mate, I contacted the company and asked for one, as I was saying in the video, it depends where you are as to what they will send out. If you contact them on the email address in the description, they will let you know what you need. It may be some time as they are closed for Chinese New Year. I hope this helps 👍

Hi Pete, awesome video mate with loads of good content which will help others who are considering getting one of these guns plus some on here might know that you lent me the Porphis PRD715, and the PRD625 which I tried and tested on my Insta channel and I can't rate them highly enough as they spray just as good as any gun costing 2 or 3 times as much👌 The WP99VG looks a really nice gun and as you said there isn't much overspray from the gun which might also reduce the amount of material it uses as you mentioned it doesn't use as much as normal🤔the finish from the basecoat looked really nice with a flat smooth finish but the main thing here was how well it laid the clearcoat which was superb👏👌 It was very kind of Nadia to send you a gun for free Pete they obviously appreciate the time you have taken to give your usual unbiased review of their guns, cheers mate👍

Hi John, Thanks, mate , I do try and just say it how it is, which hopefully comes across in the videos. Yes, it was nice to get one FOC. It's on its way as we speak, I'm told they are not built to the same quality as the 715, but I think they will still be ok. We will see. I will let you have a go of this one sometime soon so you can try it for yourself. The only question mark is longevity, but I think they will be fine, I asked Nadia to send me a few spare seals for the end cap on the 715 which she said she will, she also said they are made of a very durable material, polyformaldehyde , so should last a long time without problems or the need to change them. It seems like there’s going to be some lawsuits at some point in the future if Iwata owns the patent and these other manufacturers are copying the patented v-slot design of the nozzle. Great video as always 😎

I'm not sure they can do anything about it, I'm guessing their patent isn't recognised in China or Taiwan, for that matter. I also wonder how long there patent has lasted as the original WS was bought out 15 years or more ago and most patents are only 10 years, in which case I wonder why more haven't copied it?

@@peteshobbies5383 I would assume it most likely was renewed but you’re right China doesn’t respect global patents. They’ve been known for their intellectual theft for decades now. As for Taiwan I’m a little surprised but perhaps more investigation needs to be done before I make any more assumptions. There could be one small change in the design that doesn’t infringe on Iwata’s patent. But nonetheless great finds in terms of these guns.

Very intriguing gun and lovely results. Porphis obviously has some great engineering behind them instead of the cookie-cutter budget brands on the market today. Now, if only someone would bring them to the US market. I've yet to see anything from a retailer or distributor

Hi Mate, I've been really impressed with the 3 of their guns I have, a bit of a find, really. I lent them to a mate, and he really likes them as well. He's only used the PRD625 and PRD715, but I will let him try this as well, I'm sure he will like it also. Yes, it's a little bit frustrating that you can't just buy one, I've been told by someone who views the videos that Porphis has said there is a distributor in the US, I have no idea but that's what he was told.

Hi Pete, thanks for another great video! Speaking of side cups, I bought an LPH-50 on your recommendation, and I think I will love it for automotive spot repair and wheels, etc. Mine came with the PC-51 220 ml NON-free-angle cup. Do you find the free-angle cup to be worth the extra investment over the one I currently have? Thanks again for so much great content!

Hi Erich, it just makes it easier to move the cup. You can, as you will know, move them even though they aren't free angle. I have a few cups, some free angle, some not. It really doesn't bother me too much that I don't have a free angle cup on the guns, so it's not a big deal. It just makes it easier

Hello Pete. On your sagola 1.3 xl, do you turn the material feed all the way out or press it a little? I have 1.2 xl and I opened it 3 turns. Over time, the needle and tip wore out. The torch began to overflow in one direction.

Hi Bradley, As far as I can see the 715 and 625 spray the same, which is very well, this one is different in that it's slower, runs at a lower pressure and uses more air so it depends on what you want, they are all good to be honest and seem well made

Hi Pete, I just got this spray gun in the mail today and I was a bit surprised that I didn't get a cup with it. In this video you said you did get a cup with your gun. So i'm not sure what's going on with that. The spray does look nice but I can't use it.

Hi Mate, I did get one with mine, but it was in a separate box . It's a 3/8 thread as on the Iwata Wider 2 series.

The first thing I thought was "that box looks to small to have a cup in it" and he only gave me one box. I sent Porphis an email a few hours ago I'm curious on what they will say. I wanted to quick try it to make sure it sprayed okay. Now I'm a bit disapointed.The gun does look nice though.

@Rob-ut3rx The guns are very good, Iwata do the same with all there side cup gun's, they just sell the gun and you get the cup separately, sellers often make up a set but it's still separate boxes

Hi Sergio, No, not really. It's an Iwata idea as regards the tip being split, but they don't make a side cup split tip gun, so it's a bit different

Hi Mate, we don't get it in the UK, I normally use Upol 2003 and a Mipa flex additive in the paint and clear coat
